SAP PP Consultant – Job Description Role: SAP Production Planning (PP) Consultant Experience: 5–10 Years Primary Skill: SAP PP / Production Planning Platform: SAP S/4HANA Employment Type: Full-time Role Summary We are looking for an experienced SAP PP Consultant with strong knowledge of manufacturing and production planning processes. The candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA , configuration, MRP, production orders, master data, capacity planning, and integration with other SAP modules. Key Responsibilities Configure and support end-to-end SAP Production Planning (PP) processes. Work extensively on: Demand Management Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Production Orders Planned Orders Capacity Planning Shop Floor Control Production Execution Repetitive Manufacturing Make-to-Stock and Make-to-Order scenarios Configure and manage PP master data, including: Bill of Materials (BOM) Work Centers Routings Production Versions Material Master Support MRP Live and production-planning processes in SAP S/4HANA. Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional solutions and system configurations. Prepare functional specifications for enhancements, reports, interfaces, conversions, and forms. Work closely with ABAP and technical teams for custom developments. Manage SIT, UAT, regression testing, cutover, and go-live activities. Troubleshoot production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing issues. Support integration of PP with SAP MM, QM, SD, FI/CO, PM, and EWM . Prepare functional documentation, configuration documents, test scripts, and user guides. Required Skills 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP PP . Strong understanding of manufacturing and production planning business processes. Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Production Planning . Strong knowledge of MRP, BOM, Work Centers, Routings, Production Versions, Production Orders, and Capacity Planning . Good understanding of discrete and repetitive manufacturing scenarios. Strong knowledge of PP integration with MM, QM, SD, CO, PM, and warehouse processes . Experience in implementation, rollout, enhancement, or production-support projects. Experience in requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder-management skills. Preferred Skills Exposure to SAP PP/DS or Advanced Planning concepts. Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications related to production planning and execution. Experience with manufacturing integration and shop-floor processes. SAP S/4HANA certification is an added advantage. Experience in manufacturing, engineering, automotive, or energy/wind industry would be preferred. Key Responsibilities A hands-on SAP PP professional capable of independently managing business requirements, functional design, configuration, testing, production support, and cross-functional integration in an SAP S/4HANA manufacturing environment.
