The Senior Director, Global Process Owner - Hire to Retire provides strategic HR Business Partner leadership and support to our Global Business Services (GBS) organization. As part of the GBS Leadership Team and HR Leadership teams, we orchestrate the integrated delivery of HR support through the COEs, Associate Service Centers, and corporate HR functions, while ensuring alignment with business needs and strategic objectives. This role will influence the organization and drive strategic thinking across clients and initiatives from concept to planning to execution. The successful candidate will be self-driven, highly engaged in the business, and a trusted coach and advisor who believes that delivery excellence, continuous improvement and digital innovation are essential and seeks to elevate the performance of those they collaborate with across the enterprise. Responsibilities: Leads the Global Business Services (GBS) Hire to Retire (H2R) team for BD which is comprised of approximately 35 full time headcount and responsibility for managing the outcomes of our execution partner. Develops, implements, directs and manages hire-to-retire HR services within a complex, matrixed organization. Accountable for leading the effective management of tier 1 customer support, data operations in Workday and various other HR systems, and HR COE operational support including benefits administration, talent management, talent acquisition, compensation and global mobility. Responsible for the delivery of payroll and timekeeping operations and administration via an outsourced arrangement with ADP (GlobalView and eTime). Serves as part of the GBS leadership team and Global People Operations & Talent Acquisition leadership team collaborating and partnering with other HR functional leaders to continuously refine and improve the HR service delivery model. Lead the Team to leverage BD Excellence to drive continuous improvement while also driving performance to deliver best in class performance metrics to ensure employee satisfaction with services delivered and optimized outcomes with our partners while preventing performance issues. Develops regional Service Level Agreements (SLAs), aligned with Global SLAs (benchmarked externally), that meet the needs of those served and ensures plans are in place to drive day-to-day activities to achieve/exceed agreed-upon SLAs. Reviews historical information and identifies trends to determine achievement of SLAs while providing continuous improvement to the processes and leverages enabling technology to enable the team to focus on the highest value work. Recruits and retains a team of highly competent, diverse leaders and associates with customer-centric orientation, BD Excellence expertise, a growth mindset and potential to grow beyond current position. Develops associates’ business acumen and functional knowledge within HR and GBS Demonstrates interpersonal awareness and cross-cultural competence, links team to organization, encourages excellence, leads through influence, leverages and values diversity, and fosters collaboration. Partners with HR Business Partners, COEs and other key stakeholders to ensure escalated issue resolution in a timely and effective manner Serves as HR Service Delivery liaison with HR business partners and COE communities Manages Associate Service Center Technologies, e-time, SNOW (HRONE) Exchanges information and understands impacts to other functions, outside of HR, to better inform GBS process and tracking systems Drives change management, process management, risk management and technology infusion to assure the success and adoption of the HR Service Delivery operating model Lean six sigma or equivalent experience Competencies Business Acumen: Has a strong understanding of the business. Able to deal with ambiguity and navigate in a matrix organization (both influencer and networker) with both a global and company mindset Resilient with a strong bias for action, execution and outcomes Additional Job Description Qualifications: EDUCATION: BS/BA degree in Business Administration, HR Management or related field required. Advanced degree (Masters) in Human Resources or Business, or equivalent general business experience highly desirable. Licenses or Certifications: Desired: Six Sigma or Lean Management Certification Experience: Minimum of 10 years of HR operations (within a Global Business Services model, preferred) or HR service delivery leadership experience, with 5+ years at an executive level Level of responsibility: Required: Experience leading large global service organizations; experience in process optimization and improvement Required: Experience managing global service providers Industry experience: Required: Experience working in large complex global environments Desired: Experience with Workday Desired: Experience with ADP payroll solutions Geographic Scope: Desired: Multiple site experience OTHER: Ability to travel (up to 30%) For certain roles at BD, employment is contingent upon the Company’s receipt of sufficient proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
