The role is accountable for collaborating on core partnership discussions and agreements that address shared healthcare priorities and enable the availability, access, and optimal use of Pfizer medicines and vaccines through compliant, above‑brand initiatives. The incumbent will report to the Director, Pharmacy & Strategic Partnerships and will seek opportunities for synergy and collaboration to achieve both Pfizer and Retail Pharmacy customer goals through active and transparent strategic planning. The successful candidate will partner with senior pharmacy and distribution leadership to develop innovative enterprise‑level agreements, strategic frameworks, and partnerships that support retail access and care delivery. Success in this role is driven by customer centricity, collaboration, and a strong understanding of pharmacy practice evolution, distribution and wholesaling models, contracting dynamics, and the broader healthcare system. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Negotiation & Partnership Leadership Lead the design, negotiation, and governance of key retail pharmacy partnerships across the Canadian portfolio, including:Major national and regional pharmacy chains & banners Buying groups, wholesaler‑aligned networks, and banner associations Define agreement frameworks that align with a One Pfizer mindset across portfolio therapeutic areas & Vaccine priorities, including Commercial terms (where applicable) Support the development & integration of standardized frameworks that support pharmacy‑led workflows and optimization of consumer/patient care enablement models Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior pharmacy and distribution executives by aligning Pfizer’s enterprise capabilities with partner priorities through formalized partnership models and agreements Act as the single enterprise point of accountability for national pharmacy agreements. Strategic Planning & Execution Translation Lead the account and partnership management process, including strategic planning, governance, project management, and execution across assigned Chain & Banner and Distributor partners Lead insight gathering related to access, reimbursement, distribution economics, and channel dynamics that inform B2B strategy and agreement design, and refer insights to appropriate cross‑functional colleagues Translate national & regional agreements into clear, actionable execution models for sales and account teams & key cross-functional stakeholders; Elevate stakeholder connectivity to enable learning, best practice sharing, and scalable implementation across Chains, Banners, and Distributors Analyze account and partnership performance, track contractual commitments, and evolve action plans to optimize healthcare outcomes and partnership value Collaborate with cross‑functional Pfizer partners (Legal, Compliance, Medical, Market Access, Operations, Customer Solutions) to ensure B2B agreements are compliant, scalable, and operationally sound Identify and report adverse events and product complaint reports as per Corporate requirements, including Your Reporting Responsibilities (YRR) training GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: Relevant University Degree in Business Administration (MBA or equivalent advanced business), Health Sciences, Pharmacy or a related discipline Strong negotiation, governance, and executive communication skills including extensive experience in one or more of:Pharmacy partnerships Trade / contracting Market access or customer strategy High level of business and financial acumen Deep knowledge of:Canadian retail pharmacy ecosystem Public and private payer environments Provincial healthcare system variation Experience across vaccines or primary care, with exposure to pharmacist‑led care delivery models and established senior‑level pharmacy relationships preferred Proven success leading complex, national, multi‑stakeholder initiatives Established network of key stakeholders influencing pharmacy or wholesaler channel strategy is an asset Superior customer and partnership management skills and competencies Highly developed communication skills (verbal and written) Expertise with writing and implementing business and account plans Demonstrated strategic planning abilities with a strong understanding of healthcare and pharmacy system optimization Independent, self‑starter with a proven ability to work in a cross‑functional team environment Ability to quickly engage senior stakeholders with the goal of becoming a trusted advisor Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to manage change and ambiguity Proficiency using computer software and digital collaboration tools Bilingualism is an asset Must have the capacity to frequently travel The annual base salary for this position ranges from $107,400 to $179,000. The salary range provided applies to Canada only and does not apply to any other locations outside of Canada. ------------------------------------ Premier·ère chef – Partenariats, pharmacies de détail et distributeurs OBJECTIF DU POSTE : Le premier ou la première chef – Partenariats, pharmacies de détail et distributeurs (un poste qui ne génère pas de demandes) adopte une vision globale et à long terme des partenariats stratégiques avec les chaînes de pharmacie de détail, les bannières et les distributeurs prioritaires. Le ou la titulaire du poste aura la responsabilité de participer aux discussions et à la conclusion d’ententes stratégiques visant à répondre aux priorités communes en matière de soins de santé et à garantir la disponibilité, l’accès et l’utilisation optimale des médicaments et vaccins de Pfizer grâce à des initiatives conformes et de portée générale. La personne titulaire du poste relèvera de la directrice ou du directeur – Pharmacies et partenariats stratégiques et cherchera à créer des synergies et à établir des collaborations afin d’atteindre les objectifs de Pfizer et des pharmacies de détail en matière de clientèle au moyen d’une planification active et transparente. Elle travaillera en collaboration avec les directions des secteurs de la pharmacie et de la distribution afin d’élaborer des ententes d’entreprise novatrices, des cadres stratégiques et des partenariats visant à faciliter l’accès aux produits en vente au détail et la prestation des soins. Pour réussir dans ce poste, il est essentiel d’avoir une approche axée sur la clientèle, de faire preuve d’esprit de collaboration et de bien comprendre l’évolution de la pratique pharmaceutique, les modèles de distribution et de vente en gros, la dynamique des contrats ainsi que le système de santé dans son ensemble. FONCTIONS PRINCIPALES : Négociation et gestion de partenariats Diriger la conception, la négociation et la gouvernance des principaux partenariats avec les pharmacies de détail dans l’ensemble de la gamme de produits canadienne, notamment :les grandes chaînes et bannières de pharmacies nationales et régionales; les groupes d’achat, les réseaux de grossistes et les associations de bannières. Définir des cadres d’entente qui s’inscrivent dans l’état d’esprit One Pfizer dans l’ensemble des domaines thérapeutiques de la gamme de produits et des priorités en matière de vaccins, notamment : établir les conditions commerciales (le cas échéant); soutenir l’élaboration et l’intégration de cadres normalisés qui favorisent les flux de travail des pharmacies et l’optimisation des modèles d’autonomisation des consommatrices et consommateurs / des patients et patients.
