This position reports to: EL Sales Support Manager - Configuration __ II –General ResponsibilitiesSupport the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and prepare technical descriptions of the applied products and technology to support the proposal process. Serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. III –Main Accountabilities Offers technical promotion, technical support pre-sales. Offers technical advice and provides comment on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/Sales Engineers with regard to ABB products/systems/ applications. Provides technical support and during the bidding, technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations. Formulate competitive bids/estimates/quotations, taking into account best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation. Ensure tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of details, including full and accurate costs. In accordance with bid/estimate/quotation planning, ensures that inputs for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures. Identify potential risks in the bids, quotations and estimates and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels. Provides information and/or participates in the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy. Responsible for collecting and collating all information needed to prepare the proposal, including both technical and cost elements.
