How you will make an impact: Reporting to the LPE Division Controller, the Regional Controller will act as the accounting control leader for EMEA entities within the Laboratory Product Essential (LPE) Division, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, balance sheet quality, and compliance with corporate standards. You will serve as the critical link between site-level accounting execution and the Division Controller, providing oversight, challenge, and escalation to ensure consistent application of accounting policies and controls across the region, while execution of activities remains within site teams. In this role, you will lead a geographically dispersed team of accounting professionals, strengthening accounting discipline and ensuring consistent execution of accounting processes across sites. You will play a key role in maintaining a strong control environment, improving process consistency, and supporting sound business decision-making. What you will do: Provide oversight of transactional accounting processes, ensuring alignment with accounting standards and strong and consistent execution Own balance sheet governance and financial integrity across EMEA entities Oversee and challenge balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of reconciling items. Provide oversight of key accounting processes, ensuring adherence to control requirements, segregation of duties, and corporate policies Act as a key escalation point for accounting issues arising from site teams, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate escalation where required Own governance of local controls and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and Divisional Approval Authority Matrix Ensure timely and accurate US GAAP financial reporting across EMEA entities Coordinate regional financial audits and act as the key point of contact for internal and external auditors Provide leadership across a regional, multi-site accounting environment, driving performance, accountability, and development Partner with shared services, site accounting teams, Group Accounting, and FP&A to ensure effective execution and issue resolution Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and enhancing efficiency, controls, and scalability This role sits at the intersection of Group standards, divisional business context, and site and GBS execution and will be a key member of the LPG global accounting leadership team. How will you get here Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and hold teams accountable Solid understanding of internal controls, audit requirements, and operational accounting processes Proven ability to analyze and communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively Experience driving process improvement and strengthening control environments Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-site environment, driving alignment across teams Experience operating in complex, evolving environments with high levels of ambiguity Education / Experience CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified 5-8 years relevant post-qualification experience in accounting, controllership, or financial operations Experience leading accounting activities across multiple entities or regions in a complex environment Strong understanding of internal controls, audit requirements, and financial reporting (Including US GAAP preferred) Proven ability to lead and develop teams across multiple locations Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail Experience driving process improvement and operating effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment Travel requirements Less than 25% domestic/international travel required.
