Must have skills : Microsoft Azure Stack Good to have skills : Microsoft Azure IaaS, Microsoft Azure Architecture, Microsoft Azure VMWare Solution Minimum 5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Job Description – Azure Local SME (CL 9) Role Title Azure Local SME (CL 9) Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Local SME (CL 9) to lead hybrid cloud infrastructure delivery, focusing on Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI) integrated with Azure Cloud and VMware environments. The role requires a strong blend of technical leadership and hands-on expertise, with accountability for solution design support, migration execution, and operational excellence across hybrid platforms. The candidate will act as a subject matter expert, driving critical initiatives such as Azure Local deployment, Azure Arc integration, and VMware-to-Azure transformation. Primary Skill (Must-Have) Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI / Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure) Deep expertise in Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI architecture, deployment, and operations Strong understanding of hybrid cloud design and Azure Arc integration Experience leading on-prem to Azure Local and cloud transformation initiatives Ability to define and implement secure, scalable, and highly available hybrid environments Knowledge of governance, compliance, and operational frameworks for hybrid cloud Secondary Skills Azure Cloud Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS services (VMs, Storage, Networking) Azure Arc onboarding, governance, and lifecycle management Integration of Azure Local with Azure services (Monitoring, Security, Backup) Experience in cloud migration and workload modernisation VMware Expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Experience with Azure VMware Solution (AVS) / VMware migration and hybrid integration Strong understanding of vSAN, cluster design, DR, and platform modernisation Key Responsibilities Lead Azure Local deployments and hybrid infrastructure setup Drive Azure Arc enablement and hybrid cloud integration Lead and support VMware to Azure / Azure Local migration initiatives Provide technical leadership for infrastructure design, onboarding, and stabilisation Ensure high availability, scalability, and operational readiness of hybrid platforms Implement and enforce security, governance, and compliance controls Drive automation and standardisation across hybrid environments Troubleshoot complex issues and act as L3/L4 escalation SME Partner with cross-functional teams (Cloud, VMware, Network, Security) for delivery Support audit, compliance, and documentation activities (aligned to enterprise governance frameworks) Leadership & Functional Skills (CL 9 Expectation) Acts as Technical SME / Lead for Azure Local domain Drives end-to-end ownership of modules or workstreams Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills Ability to mentor junior engineers (L10/L11) Strong experience in SLA-driven, audit-compliant delivery environments Capable of handling ambiguity and driving resolution independently Experience & Qualification 8–12 years of overall IT experience 4+ years in Azure / Hybrid Cloud environments Proven experience in hybrid infrastructure (on-prem + Azure) Hands-on exposure to VMware and migration platforms Bachelor s degree in Engineering / IT or equivalent Certifications (Preferred) Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ 104) Azure Solutions Architect (AZ 305) – Good to have Azure Hybrid / Azure Stack HCI certifications – Added advantage VMware Certified Professional (VCP) ITIL Foundation 15 years full time education About Accenture Accenture is a leading global professional services company that helps the world’s leading businesses, governments and other organizations build their digital core, optimize their operations, accelerate revenue growth and enhance citizen services—creating tangible value at speed and scale.
