Job Description We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Lead specialized in the Signals One (Research Suite), including but not limited to modules such as Notebook, VitroVivo, Inventa, Synergy, and any other components within the suite. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes end-to-end ownership of platform configuration and development activities — proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce manual effort, and drive the platform forward without waiting to be asked. Reports to the Product Technical Lead. This role serves as an application Technical Lead for Signals One Research Suite — owning the technical roadmap, vendor feature pipeline, and release delivery across all modules. Key Responsibilities This role sits within our IT Research Platforms team and supports scientists across several divisions and globally. You'll be the primary technical owner of platform configuration and a key partner to the vendor development team Responsible for the configuration, customization, and development of the Signals One Research Suite modules to meet evolving research and business needs Translate scientific workflow requirements into Signals configuration (templates, experiments, workflows, ADTs) and integrations to other systems Serve as technical liaison with Revvity (vendor) for escalations, feature requests, and release coordination Manage the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirement gathering and analysis, solution design and configuration, development, configuration and scripting, collaboration with testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) teams, deployment using Configuration Transfer Tool or equivalent mechanisms, production release and hypercare support Implement and adhere to IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices, covering: Incident, Request, and Problem Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management, Release Management Understand and maintain integrations between Signals One and internal/external systems, including SaaS and cloud applications, leveraging APIs and middleware Utilize scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate platform/integration tasks, process/data workflows, and deployment processes Employ monitoring and logging tools to proactively identify and resolve platform issues, ensuring high availability and performance Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Owner, Technical Lead, Quality Unit, infrastructure, and support to deliver robust platform solutions Drive AI initiatives that enhance scientific workflows for business users and develop internal AI-powered tools (e.g., technical RAG chatbot) to accelerate team onboarding, troubleshooting, and self-service for how-to guidance Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides to support knowledge sharing and compliance requirements Mentor junior/support engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate in a global, distributed Agile team following product model practices What Success Looks Like In the first 6 months you will: Co-deliver 2 Signals software releases to production alongside the existing team Map current configuration, validation, and deployment processes end-to-end and identify improvement opportunities across those Own and prioritize the Signals enhancement backlog, aligning vendor feature requests with business needs and release timelines Establish yourself as the primary technical liaison with Revvity for feature coordination, escalations, and release planning In the first 12 months you will: Deliver Signals software releases to production independently Drive 2–3 vendor feature enhancements from requirement through production release, coordinating across Revvity, QA, and business stakeholders Implement automated configuration promotion reducing manual effort and deployment risk Build and maintain a living enhancement roadmap that gives the Product Technical Lead and Product Owner clear visibility into pipeline status Establish reusable automation (scripts, pipelines, dashboards) that reduces repetitive operational work across the team Deliver an AI-powered knowledge tool (e.g., chatbot) that enables team self-service for technical how-to questions Required Qualifications Extensive hands-on experience with ELN or LIMS platform, experience with Signals One Research Suite and its modules (Notebook, VitroVivo, Inventa, CD, Synergy, etc.) is strongly preferred Strong understanding of the complete SDLC process from requirements through production release and hypercare Proven expertise in ITSM processes including Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Release Management Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native deployment models Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python (Streamlit, Pandas), C#, SQL and tools GitHub and GitHub Actions Solid knowledge of API design and integration patterns, including RESTful services and middleware solutions Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Dynatrace, Grafana) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
