Position Summary Reporting to the Vice President, Cell Therapy Supply Chain, the Executive Director, Internal Site & ExM Supply Chain is accountable for the strategic development and operational execution of Cell Therapy Supply Chain across BMS's global internal drug product manufacturing sites and external manufacturing partners. This leader drives end-to-end supply chain execution — encompassing planning, scheduling, inventory, and materials management — while serving as the key Supply Chain representative across site and operations leadership forums, including Site General Managers, Site Leadership Teams as well as Cell Therapy Supply Chain leadership team. This role has direct leadership responsibility over a team of Site Supply Chain Leads across Bothell, Summit, Devens, and Leiden, as well as External Manufacturing (ExM) Supply Chain Lead(s). Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and strategic direction across planning, scheduling, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics for all CT internal sites and ExM CMOs. Own supply chain performance management, including service levels, cycle time, inventory effectiveness, and responsiveness to demand variability. Ensure predictable delivery, issue escalation, and plan vs actual performance management Continually monitor, revise, and update strategies that simultaneously optimize short- and long-term results. Serve as single point of contact for the internal sites and ExM CMOs sitting on CT Drug Product Operations and ExM extended leadership team. Ensure site and ExM planning inputs brought to critical site management forums, including site S&OP, site business reviews, etc. Assure daily warehouse operations, kitting, staging, and shipping are managed in compliance with all relevant GDP, GMP, environmental, health, and safety standards. Actively participate and provide input into the Global Supply Review process to incorporate major supply issues to the Network plan and any major deviations to the budget and/or previous plan Communicate decisions and supply impacts to all stakeholders; escalates and prioritizes supply responses around all issues and opportunities impacting customer service to stakeholder. Contributes to the Supply Chain Network Plan and to the S&OP process integration Responsible for capacity and staffing as well as contingency planning to avoid missed external customer commitments for commercial and clinical products. Prepare and monitor annual budget and quarterly projections; Ensure that all departments are informed and measured on their commitments with focus on volumes, inventories, and department spending. Develop site-specific and ExM CMO Supply Chain goals / KPIs aligned with other key functions. Manage assets, inventory, space and resources to improve customer service while optimizing BMS end-to-end supply chains and delivery performance in line with corporate objective. Partner with CTSC LT to align on both mid- and long-term planning views for the Cell Therapy Network. Support the Integrated Planning Process / Teams, ensuring appropriate assumptions / inputs on behalf of the sites, including inventory planning, budget volume planning, master supply plan management, escalated issue management. Interact with site customers and suppliers on the handling of non-routine situations, as well as on an exception basis with government regulatory agencies (FDA, Customs) in the event of site inspections. Interact on a continuous basis with CT internal and external functions such as ExM, CTDPO, ExM, MSAT, QC/QA, Manufacturing, and Finance Ensure successful onboarding, succession path design, capability enhancements of the personnel at CTSC sites. Ensure master data maintenance process is properly performed across sites and ExM partners. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, directives, manuals and work instructions on matters related to Supply Chain Management, transportation, safety, environmental, customs and trade compliance across sites and ExM Develop the right functional organization structure and staffing plan to meet the functional, GPS, CTDO and BMS objectives of cost, service, and quality; Ensure the right person (talent) is doing the right work (key objectives) at the right time (priorities). Ensure training documentation, policies and procedures are in place and meet compliance requirements. Ensure culture of performance, collaboration, and accountability where individuals are valued, recognized, and aligned to the BMS Mission & GPS, CTDO strategy. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the global practices where business is conducted. Qualifications & Experience Education: B.S. or BA in supply chain management, science and/or engineering (biotechnology, engineering or related sciences). M.B.A or advanced degree, diploma or certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS or CSCP certification) strongly preferred. Required 15+ years of supply chain management and planning experience for a reputed, global or multi-plant Biotech, Pharmaceutical or Consumer Product company utilizing world class supply chain planning and execution processes. Demonstrated experience in site operations / supply chain management Demonstrated competence interacting with and influencing senior business leaders. Demonstrated experience managing teams. Strong analytical, communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills required. Demonstrated ability to frame and build concepts and ideas and develop and execute strategic plans as required. Demonstrated business acumen and ability to organize and present information to cross-functional audiences and senior leaders. Good understanding and exposure to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, especially in building highly effective, world class, global teams. Ability to work in a matrix environment and build strong relationships by being transparent, reliable, and delivering on commitments. Demonstrated capability in implementing challenging goals, objectives and practices in a complex and ambiguous environment. Ability to provide innovative ideas to optimize supply chain and generate new ideas or alternatives that create value including seeking new information and external insights. Certification or exposure to Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement concepts desirable. Strong ability in negotiating and influencing without authority in complex, high impact situations. Strong coaching, mentoring and employee development skills. Strong strategic and analytical thinking, problem solving and rapid decision-making skills. Strong presentation and communication skills, both, oral and written.
