Must have skills : Microsoft Azure DevOps Good to have skills : Infrastructure As Code (IaC), Ansible on Microsoft Azure Minimum 5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Job Description – Azure DevOps / IaC SME (CL9) Role Title Azure DevOps / IaC SME (CL9 – Team Lead) Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps / IaC SME (CL9) to lead enterprise DevOps transformation and infrastructure automation initiatives. The role demands strong technical depth combined with delivery ownership, stakeholder engagement, and governance alignment. The candidate will act as a technical lead and escalation SME, responsible for designing, implementing, and standardising CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code practices across Azure environments, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant cloud operations. Primary Skill (Must-Have) Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Boards) Deep hands-on expertise in Azure DevOps services (Pipelines, Repos, Boards) Design, implement, and optimise CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments Strong experience in release management, pipeline governance, and automation frameworks Expertise in repository management, branching strategies, and DevOps lifecycle management Ability to define enterprise DevOps standards and reusable pipeline templates Secondary Skills Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Ansible / Bicep / ARM Templates) Hands-on expertise in Terraform, ARM, and Bicep for Azure infrastructure provisioning Experience in configuration management using Ansible Development of reusable IaC modules, accelerators, and deployment frameworks Integration of IaC with CI/CD pipelines for full automation lifecycle Strong understanding of environment standardisation and infrastructure scalability Key Responsibilities DevOps & Automation Leadership Lead design and implementation of enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines Drive automation strategy across application and infrastructure delivery Establish DevOps standards, governance frameworks, and best practices IaC & Platform Engineering Lead infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, and Ansible Build reusable IaC frameworks and enforce standard deployment patterns Ensure secure, compliant, and scalable infrastructure automation Operations & Support (CL9 Expectation) Act as L3/L4 escalation point for complex DevOps and IaC issues Troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployment issues, and provisioning gaps Ensure platform stability, availability, and SLA adherence Client & Stakeholder Engagement Interface with clients, architects, and application teams Translate business requirements into DevOps and automation solutions Drive alignment with enterprise DevOps strategy and delivery commitments Governance & Compliance Implement DevSecOps practices (security, compliance, quality gates) Ensure adherence to enterprise standards, audits, and regulatory requirements Contribute to process improvements, automation opportunities, and technical debt reduction Technical Skills & Tools Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Boards, Repos) Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates Ansible (Configuration Management) Git-based version control systems CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab) Container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes – preferred) Scripting: PowerShell / Python Monitoring and logging integration (basic to intermediate) Experience & Qualification 10–12 years of IT experience (aligned with CL9 expectations) Minimum 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Azure DevOps and IaC Strong exposure to enterprise cloud transformation / managed services delivery Prior experience in a technical leadership / SME role is mandatory Certifications (Preferred) Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) Azure Administrator / Architect certifications (AZ-104 / AZ-305) Terraform Associate Certification ITIL Foundation (preferred for managed services environment) Key Success Metrics CI/CD pipeline reliability and deployment success rate Reduction in manual effort via automation and IaC adoption Platform stability and incident resolution efficiency Compliance with governance and security standards Improvement in release velocity and deployment frequency 15 years full time education About Accenture Accenture is a leading global professional services company that helps the world’s leading businesses, governments and other organizations build their digital core, optimize their operations, accelerate revenue growth and enhance citizen services—creating tangible value at speed and scale.
