Job Description Partner with stakeholders, which include General Manager, Plant Manager, R&D Site Manager, Business Unit Managers, Sales & Marketing Leads and Brand Managers to contribute value-add support in decision making Lead the development, analysis, and submission of forecasts, budget and 5-year plan for the China Animal Health Commercial organization Oversee a Finance team, ensuring appropriate training, task delegation, working environment, talent development, and succession planning Preparation of business review decks / presentation materials and active involvement in business reviews Support business with monthly performance updates, including communication with local senior management and Regional Team Analysis of performance against forecasts and budget, partnering with the business to understand and clearly articulate the drivers of performance, identifying and communicating risks & opportunities Provide expertise to cross-functional or special project teams to assist in making financially sound decisions Proactively seek to understand customer needs and expectations to continuously enhance the support provided to the business Further develop financial planning processes within the cluster, looking for simplification in current activities and opportunities for automating processes Help to enforce financial controls within the organization Support in providing analysis and evaluation of product pricing decisions Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders in regional and global teams to ensure smooth end to end financial processes Provide financial and business acumen training to internal stakeholders Provide leadership on ad hoc projects such as system implementations, asset disposals, and changes in go-to-market commercial models Support the management of cash flows of Animal Health legal entities in China, including customer collections, payments to external vendors and intercompany partners, and capitalization/intercompany loan agreements Support the controlling team to ensure accurate accounting and controlling activities and compliance with tax and statutory regulations for Animal Health entities Provide support for the successful conclusion of both internal and external audits Required Skills: Budgeting, Business Partner Relations, Collaborative Development, External Audit Support, Financial Analysis, Financial Management, Financial Planning, Global Team Collaboration, Internal Controls, Preparation of Financial Reports, Relationship Management, Remedial Action, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Control, Stakeholder Engagement Preferred Skills: Current Employees apply HERE Current Contingent Workers apply HERE Search Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
