Project Role : Quality Engineering Lead Project Role Description : Leads a team of quality engineers through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Applies business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies through the use of quality processes and methodologies. Applies testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution. Must have skills : Micro Focus Unified Functional Testing (UFT) Good to have skills : Playwright, API Testing, GitHub Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: As a Quality Engineering Lead, a typical day involves guiding a team of quality engineers by coordinating multi-disciplinary planning and integrating various ecosystem components to enhance delivery speed and ensure high-quality standards throughout the application lifecycle. This role requires overseeing the development and implementation of comprehensive testing strategies that align with business and functional requirements. The day also includes monitoring testing processes, managing test execution, and facilitating defect resolution to maintain the overall quality of software products. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to streamline quality assurance activities is a key aspect of the role. We are looking for a highly motivated Playwright Automation Tester with 3–4 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Playwright with TypeScript, modern automation framework development, API testing, CI/CD integration, and an AI-first approach to test automation leveraging GitHub Copilot and Generative AI tools. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation solutions that improve test coverage, accelerate delivery cycles, and enhance software quality across web applications. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Lead efforts to continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. - Mentor and support junior team members to foster professional growth and skill development. - Collaborate with stakeholders to align testing objectives with business goals and project timelines. - Drive the adoption of best practices in quality engineering across the team and organization. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Micro Focus Unified Functional Testing (UFT). - Good To Have Skills: Experience with GitHub, API Testing, Playwright. - Strong knowledge of automated testing frameworks and tools related to Micro Focus Unified Functional Testing. - Ability to design and implement robust test automation scripts and frameworks. - Experience in integrating automated tests within continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines. - Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools to ensure comprehensive test coverage and reporting.
