Job Description SummaryAs a Staff Software Engineer-DevOps engineer, You'll be responsible for bridging the gap between development and operations by automating and streamlining the software delivery lifecycle. They design and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable faster, reliable releases. The role involves working with cloud platforms, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform). DevOps engineers also monitor system performance, ensure high availability, and implement security best practices. Excellent scripting, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills are essential. Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated build, test, and deployment in a Windows environment. Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for scalable and secure cloud environments. Configure and manage AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.) to support application deployments and infrastructure needs. Automate system configuration and provisioning using Chef. Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and performance. Optimize deployment processes and troubleshoot issues across Windows-based environments. Ensure compliance with security best practices and governance policies in cloud and infrastructure setups. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience in DevOps practices and infrastructure automation. Hands-on expertise with: Configuration Management: Chef Infrastructure as Code: Terraform CI/CD Tools: Jenkins Cloud Platforms: AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.) Good scripting and programming skills in Ruby, PowerShell or Python. Solid understanding of Windows Server administration, networking fundamentals, and Active Directory. Experience with version control systems (Git) and branching strategies. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams. Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and DevOps environments. Education Qualification Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum years of 8+ years of experience. Technical Expertise: Good knowledge of Windows Server Management System monitoring, process management, permissions Networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls) Experience working on GitHub/GitLab version control systems Hands-on experience on branching strategies (Gitflow, trunk-based) Expertise on Pipeline creation and optimization, Build/test/deploy automation and Artifact management Expertise working on AWS and Cloud services Automating infrastructure provisioning Tools: Terraform (industry standard) Integrating security into pipelines such as vulnerability scanning, identity and access control Leadership: Demonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions Influences through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team Shares knowledge, power, and credit, establishing trust, credibility, and goodwill Personal Attributes: Able to work under minimal supervision Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity Able to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility Skilled in providing oversight and mentoring team members.
