Discover Impactful Work The Product Operations Specialist is a key member of the Corporate Data Science Center of Excellence (DS COE) Product Management team. In this role, you will enable the Product Management organization to operate efficiently by improving cross-team coordination, driving operational excellence, and supporting the execution of strategic initiatives across multiple Agile Scrum teams. Working closely with the Director of Product Management, Product Owners, Scrum teams, and business stakeholders, you will help streamline product operations, improve organizational processes, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and ensure the Product Management team can focus on delivering innovative data science products that empower Sales and Marketing organizations across Thermo Fisher Scientific. This role provides a unique opportunity to build expertise across Product Management, Agile delivery, and business operations while helping shape how a growing Product Management organization operates at scale. A Day in the Life Coordinate product management activities across multiple Agile Scrum teams, helping identify and manage cross-team dependencies and delivery risks. Support Scrum-of-Scrums planning, portfolio coordination, Agile tool administration and execution tracking to improve organizational visibility and alignment. Prepare and distribute stakeholder communications, including Sprint Review summaries, status reports, and leadership updates. Partner with Product Managers to improve planning processes and knowledge management, maintain documentation standards, and drive continuous process improvement initiatives. Assist with product discovery activities, user research, roadmap planning, and other Product Management initiatives as needed. Support operational management of the Product Management organization, including budget tracking, contractor timesheet reconciliation, Statements of Work (SOWs), purchase orders, invoices, and vendor coordination. Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, documentation, and reporting that provide insight into portfolio health and team performance. Facilitate effective meetings by coordinating agendas, tracking decisions, documenting action items, and ensuring timely follow-through. Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, standardize practices, and improve the effectiveness and scalability of Product Management operations. Keys to Success Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience 3+ years of experience supporting Product Management, Product Operations, Program Management, PMO, Business Operations, or a related function. Experience working in Agile software development environments Demonstrated success coordinating cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders. Experience with operational reporting, business process improvement, or organizational planning. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Excellent organizational, project coordination, and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and business teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mentality. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g. Jira) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint) preferred. Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or product analytics tools is a plus.
