Role Summary The Enterprise Transformation & Architecture Leader is accountable for defining future-state enterprise architecture, establishing transformation governance structures, and ensuring measurable value realization across large-scale Financial Services modernization programs. This role operates at the intersection of strategy, architecture, and transformation execution—ensuring alignment between business priorities, technology investments, and realized outcomes. Key Responsibilities Strategy/ArchitectureDefine enterprise architecture vision aligned to business and growth strategy. Identify capability gaps and opportunities for digitization, automation, and modernization. Design future-state business capability models and target architecture. Lead modernization of banking, capital markets and insurance platforms. Design overall architecture for transformation initiatives (core banking, wealth payments, lending, digitization underwriting, claims etc.). Define system interaction models across channels, middleware, core systems, and external ecosystems. Provide recommendation for build versus buy and aid the client in product evaluation if the recommendation is purchase a solution Establish architecture governance, principles, standards, and minimal viable guardrails. Embed regulatory compliance within architecture and transformation strategy Ensure data governance, risk management, and cybersecurity alignment. Solution Execution and TransformationTranslate target architecture into multi‑year, phased transformation roadmap Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Security teams to ensure secure‑by‑design architectures. Define migration waves and sequencing to minimize business and operational risk. Identify quick wins, foundational enablers, and long‑term modernization initiatives. Establish clear transition architectures between current and target states. Align roadmap with planning & funding cycles, regulatory milestones, business priorities & customer impact Align business, product, and technology teams to enterprise vision. Drive integration between finance, business, and IT delivery teams. Maintain architectural coherence across programs and product portfolios. Partner with CIO/CTO leadership to evolve technology operating models. Manage and track initiative adoption across front, middle, and back-office functions to ensure sustained benefits realization Oversee large-scale Financial Services transformation programs Value RealizationEstablish transformation governance and value realization frameworks. Lead change at pace within a regulatory framework through data-driven decision-making, disciplined risk management, and operational resilience Ensure alignment between architecture decisions and value targets. Define KPIs, baselines, and benchmarking mechanisms to track benefits realization. Prioritize investments using financial impact and cost-benefit analysis. Recent Blogs Technical & Functional Expertise Architecture & Technology Depth Experience in any one of the Banking, Cap Markets and insurance platforms/suites (e.g., Temenos, Avaloq, Mambu, Finastra Suite, Guidewire Suite, Duck Creek, etc.). Core Banking – Transact, Flexcube, Finacle, BaNCS, etc. Payments – GPP, TPH, etc. Insurance – Policy Center, Claim Center, Contact Manager, Agency Portal etc. Capital Markets – Calypso, Avaloq, Murex, FIS Trading Suite etc. Ability to align technology architecture with business outcomes and regulatory obligations. Experience in defining current, target, and transition architectures. Proven ability to incorporate sequencing, and prioritization approach when defining transformation roadmaps Know-how of Cloud architectures, APIs, microservices, data platforms, and integration patterns. Enterprise integration patterns, data architecture, and predictive analytics. Security and resilience requirements AI, GenAI and Agentic AI uses cases Transformation & Value Governance Large-scale transformation program leadership. Risk management and regulatory alignment in Financial Services. Experience in Financial modelling, budgeting, and portfolio prioritization preferred Value realization frameworks and KPI engineering. Industry Experience 15+ years of experience in banking (retail, corporate, wealth, investment)/insurance (Life/P&C)/capital markets industry in the consulting and transformation space. Proven track record of delivering large‑scale transformations (digital, core banking, operating model, or regulatory) Exposure to global or multi‑country transformation programs preferred Deep understanding of banking/insurance/capital markets products, processes, and regulatory landscape and industry standards Experience in any of the frameworks/industry standards (e.g., TOGAF, BIAN, Zachman, ISO 20022, SWIFT, Open Banking, etc.). Leadership Competencies Executive presence with ability to influence C-suite stakeholders. Strong consulting acumen, stakeholder management, and business development capability.
