Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards Job Description In this critical role, you will support the implementation and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives that enable business growth and operational excellence. You will partner closely with suppliers as well as Site Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D teams to ensure supplier capabilities align with technical and quality requirements, while collaborating globally with Category Management, Operations, and R&D leaders. You will play a key role in New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) programs by leading supplier technical evaluations, qualifications, and approvals in alignment with divisional and global category strategies. This newly created position will actively contribute to initiatives focused on best-in-class supplier development, continuous improvement, and sourcing operational excellence. Your Tasks Evaluate and qualify supplier capabilities and support the approval of new direct materials and assemblies, including audits, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement activities aligned with industrial best practices Balance day-to-day execution with strategic initiatives to deliver cost-reduction and value-creation projects Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Engineering, SPCI, Manufacturing, Quality, and Project teams to drive key deliverables through effective communication Provide technical and commercial support to Commodity Buyers to enhance manufacturing process awareness and product knowledge Develop and apply technical cost analysis tools and methodologies to identify cost-reduction and manufacturing improvement opportunities Monitor supplier performance and conduct risk-based assessments of critical suppliers, supporting their advancement toward best-in-class performance Identify and recommend material, design, and process changes to improve cost, productivity, and scalability Participate in sourcing programs to identify, qualify, and recommend suppliers aligned with product and business needs Lead or contribute to cross-functional teams supporting product transfers, re-sourcing, and outsourcing initiatives Monitor emerging sourcing and manufacturing technologies to improve productivity and drive savings. Audit and support supplier improvements in quality systems, manufacturing processes, and technical capabilities Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred Experience 5–8 years of experience with PCBA, electro-mechanical assemblies, power and thermal management, cable assemblies, or complex electronic equipment from a development, testing, or sourcing perspective 5–7 years of experience developing, qualifying, and managing global suppliers Strong hands-on experience with fabrication, coating and painting, joining processes, and the assembly and integration of electronic equipment Experience with advanced manufacturing processes such as extrusion, sheet metal forming, solid-state bonding, cladding, and powder deposition Proficiency with enterprise and engineering tools supporting sourcing and engineering functions, including ERP systems, CMD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS), RCA/CAPA tools, Visio, and Microsoft Office Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Deep understanding of manufacturing processes across multi-commodity, multicultural supplier environments (PCBA, machining, coating, sheet metal, injection molding, and contract manufacturing) Ability to adapt quickly to changing business priorities while maintaining focus on results Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies and their practical application to supplier qualification and audit processes Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills ISO 9001 Auditor certification and IPC-A-610 certification highly desired Highly analytical with strong problem-solving capabilities Proven project management skills Willingness to travel up to 50% within Germany, Czechia, and Europe
