How you will make an impact:The MSD Service Finance team in China supports a critical and growing service business within the Materials & Structural Analysis Division, delivering advanced electron microscopy services and solutions to semiconductor, industrial, and life sciences customers. We are seeking a Finance Manager (Individual Contributor) to serve as a key finance partner to China Service leadership. This role will drive financial planning, performance tracking, and operational finance processes, providing strong visibility and insights across revenue, booking, and margin performance. The position will play a critical role in supporting decision-making, enhancing financial discipline, and driving continuous improvement. What you will do:Financial Planning & Performance ManagementLead AOP, QBR, STRAP, and MBR processes for Service Finance Own Revenue, Booking, and Gross Margin forecasting, including PLN loading and variance analysis Deliver monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reporting, highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities Business Partnering & Decision SupportPartner closely with Service, Operations, and Commercial teams to support business decisions and performance improvement Provide insights on B&S performance, backlog, and contract execution Support pricing and margin analysis, driving actionable recommendations Tracking, Reporting & GovernanceManage weekly and monthly tracking, including revenue pacing, contract tracking, and dashboards Maintain Service MBR reporting and KPI dashboards Ensure accuracy in ledger walk, FX impact, and financial reconciliations Risk & Compliance ManagementSupport warranty assessment, EL management, and quarterly true-ups Monitor billing controls, de-booking, and settlement cases Identify risks and proactively support mitigation actions How you will get here:RequirementsAdvanced Degree with 8+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of experience in Finance Strong experience in FP&A, reporting, and business partnering, preferably in a service or operations environment Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesStrong analytical and financial modeling skills (Excel proficiency required) Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP/Oracle), Hyperion, and reporting tools Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Proven ability to operate independently in a matrixed, fast-paced environment Key Success FactorsStrong ownership of Service financial performance (Revenue, Booking, Margin) High-quality business partnering and decision support Ability to drive visibility, discipline, and execution Continuous improvement mindset with focus on efficiency and scalability
