Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech Purpose: The Senior Pricing Manager will lead the Pricing Strategy and Governance agenda across Emerging Markets Surgery, driving sustainable profitable growth through value-based pricing, tender excellence, pricing governance, commercial policy deployment, and strategic portfolio optimization. The role serves as the regional thought partner to Business Unit leadership, Global Pricing, Finance, Commercial Excellence, Market Access, and country teams, influencing strategic commercial decisions across a diverse geography comprising both direct and distributor markets. The position requires a blend of pricing expertise, commercial acumen, analytical rigor, stakeholder influence, and leadership capabilities to establish pricing as a strategic growth lever rather than a transactional process. You will be responsible for: Pricing Strategy & Portfolio Optimization Develop and execute the Emerging Markets Surgery pricing strategy aligned with business growth objectives. Define and maintain pricing architecture across franchises, product categories, and market segments. Lead value-based pricing approaches for existing and newly launched products. Establish regional price corridors and guardrails to optimize profitability and market competitiveness. Identify and execute opportunities for margin expansion through pricing excellence initiatives. Partner with franchise leaders to evaluate portfolio opportunities, lifecycle pricing decisions, and market dynamics. Pricing Governance & Commercial Policy Own regional pricing governance processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and global pricing principles. Chair or support regional pricing councils and governance forums. Drive standardization and simplification of pricing decision-making processes across Emerging Markets. Ensure robust approval frameworks, delegation of authority, and pricing controls. Lead implementation of pricing policies, tools, and operating models across markets. Tendering & Strategic Deal Support Provide strategic guidance on high-value tenders, large contracts, and complex commercial negotiations. Support countries in balancing competitiveness and profitability in tender environments. Develop frameworks for deal assessment, scenario modelling, and pricing risk management. Partner with commercial teams to optimize customer contracts and distributor agreements. Analytics & Insights Lead development of pricing dashboards, KPIs, and business performance metrics. Utilize advanced analytics to identify pricing opportunities, leakage risks, and competitive threats. Drive data-driven decision making through actionable insights and pricing intelligence. Monitor market developments, competitor pricing movements, reimbursement changes, and healthcare trends. New Product Launches Lead pricing strategy for product launches and portfolio expansion initiatives. Collaborate with Global Pricing, Marketing, and Market Access teams to establish launch price recommendations. Ensure launch pricing supports value positioning while maximizing long-term market potential. Commercial Transformation Identify and lead pricing transformation initiatives that improve capabilities, tools, data quality, and operational efficiency. Drive adoption of digital pricing solutions, analytics platforms, CPQ tools, and AI-enabled pricing capabilities. Establish a continuous improvement culture focused on sustainable pricing excellence. Leadership & Capability Building Lead and develop regional pricing talent and foster a high-performance team culture. Build pricing capabilities across country commercial organizations through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing. Act as a trusted advisor to regional leadership teams on pricing strategy and commercial decision-making. Influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority in a highly matrixed environment. Qualifications / Requirements: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. Experience in pricing & contracting strategy, process implementation, capital monetization, new product introduction, or related roles within the medtech or healthcare industry with a minimum of 6+ years of relevant work experience. Success in leading pricing initiatives, capital monetization projects, and process improvements that support business growth. Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and pricing tools (e.g., pricing software, ERP systems) is preferred. Strong project management abilities with the capacity to balance multiple projects and work with various teams in different regions. Strategic problem solver with the ability to advise and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Experience in change management and driving organizational transformation initiatives globally is highly desirable. Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and compliance issues specific to healthcare pricing and capital monetization is a plus.
