What you’ll do: Develop Cytiva China’s eCommerce business development strategy, including business rationale, strategic priorities, target customer segments, channel strategy, product scope, operating model, and phased roadmap. Define the eCommerce KPI framework to measure business progress and impact, including but not limited to revenue contribution, qualified leads, customer acquisition, conversion rate, online quotation or order opportunities, channel performance, return on marketing investment, product adoption, and platform efficiency. Identify and prioritize the most valuable eCommerce and digital marketing approaches for Cytiva China based on customer journey, product categories, buying behaviors, and commercial potential. This includes evaluating the value of search, content marketing, campaign activation, account-based marketing, platform marketing, distributor enablement, private domain engagement, and marketing automation. Translate eCommerce strategy into executable business plans, including channel development plans, platform selection, go-to-market models, product portfolio planning, marketing activation plans, pricing and promotion logic, and operational readiness. Develop and manage external eCommerce channels and partnerships, including third-party eCommerce platforms, industry vertical platforms, digital distributors, marketplace partners, and other digital commerce ecosystems relevant to Cytiva’s business. Lead business development and commercial negotiations with external platform partners and ecosystem players, including cooperation models, traffic resources, service scope, data access, promotion mechanisms, commercial terms, operational responsibilities, and performance review mechanisms. Build a structured channel evaluation framework to assess different eCommerce channels and platforms, considering strategic fit, customer reach, commercial potential, operational complexity, compliance requirements, investment level, and measurable business return. Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Modality, Channel, Service, Business Ops, Finance, Legal & Compliance, IT and other internal stakeholders to align priorities, remove barriers, and ensure successful implementation of eCommerce initiatives. Connect digital marketing activities with business conversion, ensuring that marketing campaigns, content, traffic generation, customer engagement, and platform activities are designed to support measurable eCommerce outcomes and sales opportunities. Develop data-driven insights and business performance reviews to continuously optimize channel strategy, marketing effectiveness, customer experience, conversion funnel, and resource allocation. Establish internal mechanisms, playbooks and governance processes for eCommerce business development, including business review cadence, channel management process, marketing effectiveness review, cross-functional working model, and knowledge sharing. Champion eCommerce business development internally, helping stakeholders understand the strategic value, commercial logic, operating requirements, and long-term opportunity of digital commerce for Cytiva China. The essential requirements of the job include: Strategic Thinking: Clear understanding of the company’s mission and vision, ability to define the role of eCommerce in Cytiva China’s long-term business growth, translate market opportunities into strategic priorities, and develop clear business logic, roadmap, and success metrics. Solid understanding of Life science eCommerce and digital commerce: Hands-on experience in Life science eCommerce business models, platform strategy, customer journey, product commercialization, digital channel development, and online-to-offline business conversion. Strong data analytics and business logic articulation: Ability to structure and analyze complex eCommerce, marketing, and commercial data; clarify the underlying business logic; build trackable KPI and business metrics frameworks; clearly explain performance drivers, business gaps, and improvement opportunities; and translate insights into actionable outputs that support strategic decision-making and continuous business optimization. Strong business development capability: Proven experience in identifying, developing, negotiating, and managing external business partnerships, especially with eCommerce platforms, digital channels, distributors, and ecosystem partners. Cross-functional leadership: Strong capability to work in a matrix organization and mobilize internal resources across marketing, sales, product, channel, customer service, supply chain, finance, legal, compliance, and IT to deliver results. Marketing methodology and commercial judgment: Ability to evaluate different digital marketing approaches and identify the highest-value methods that can drive customer engagement, lead generation, conversion, and business outcomes. Execution excellence: Ability to move from strategy to implementation, manage multiple complex projects, drive alignment, solve problems, and deliver measurable outcomes under ambiguity and pressure. Customer-centric mindset: Deep understanding of customer needs, digital buying behaviors, procurement journeys, and how eCommerce channels can improve customer experience and commercial efficiency. Educational background: Bachelor’s degree or above in eCommerce, marketing, Business development or related fields. Life science, Academia related background will be a plus, MBA is preferred. Experience: At least 8 years of working experience in B2B eCommerce industries. Experience in a Life Science company is strongly preferred. Long-standing experience in eCommerce and market strategy, or management consulting with the ability to clarify business logic, define strategic priorities, identify high-value marketing and channel approaches, and build actionable roadmaps before execution. Additional hands-on experience in business development, digital channel development, partner negotiation, or commercial execution is required. Fluent in spoken and written English.
