Job description

At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters. The PositionWho We Are The ERP team at Roche manages the enterprise’s unified digital backbone, supporting over 100,000 users across more than 100 countries. Our mission is to operate, protect, scale, and innovate the ERP/SAP systems that ensure the reliable delivery of medicines and diagnostics globally. This includes driving the ASPIRE program—one of the healthcare industry’s largest digital transformations, migrating our global footprint to SAP S/4HANA. The ERP Business Operations team runs the operational engine behind this massive unit. We turn complex workforce, financial, and delivery data into the high-impact insights and strategic decisions that keep our global ecosystem moving forward. The Role: What You Will Do We are looking for an independent, tech-savvy, and genuinely curious Business Analyst to own key operational domains end-to-end. You won't just compile spreadsheets; you will instinctively leverage data tooling, automation, and AI to make operations faster, cleaner, and more reliable. Your core responsibilities will include: Workforce & Resource Analytics: Own and maintain the unit's comprehensive global workforce data baseline (internal FTEs, external partners, location strategies, and capacity scaling models) while ensuring absolute data consistency. Financial Planning & Budget Tracking: Support budget planning, forecasting, and planned-vs-actual cost tracking. You will reconcile data across sustainment and program lines, investigate variances, and prepare reports that withstand executive scrutiny. Leadership Reporting: Prepare and quality-assure recurring status reports, KPI dashboards, and critical decision-support materials for the ERP Leadership Team and governance bodies. Process Optimization & AI Automation: Identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone processes and pragmatically redesign them using advanced spreadsheets, BI dashboards, and emerging AI productivity tools. Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a dependable contact point across Value Streams (Digital Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing), chasing inputs, managing deadlines, and navigating stakeholder pushback constructively. Initiative & Content Leadership: Independently structure and drive complex analysis topics sponsored by the Head of ERP, defining problem spaces, performing root-cause analyses, and bringing clear recommendations to a decision. Who You Are Experience & Background 5+ years of experience in business analysis, business operations, PMO, or financial analysis within a digital technology or large-scale transformation environment. A proven track record of independently owning ambiguous analysis topics from a vague question down to a structured, leadership-ready presentation. Experience working within global matrix organizations, massive ERP/SAP environments, or regulated fields (Pharma/Biotech) is a major plus. Technical Skills & Craft Data Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel (complex modeling, large datasets, data hygiene) and hands-on experience with BI tools like Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau. Tech-Savvy & AI-Curious: A distinct passion for experimenting with and adopting new technologies, automation, or scripting (SQL, Python, Apps Script) to optimize workflows. Financial Acumen: Comfort working with complex cost structures, resource models, and forecasts, with a sharp eye for tracing financial inconsistencies to their root cause. Structured Problem Solving: Ability to apply systems thinking to break down interconnected operational challenges into clear, actionable steps. Core Traits Quality-Obsessed: You take deep pride in delivering accurate, visually polished, and executive-ready deliverables—catching the errors that others miss. Autonomous & Accountable: You are self-directed and comfortable being trusted with highly visible topics, asking for direction when needed rather than permission at every step. Diplomatic Collaborator: Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to distill complex data into crisp narratives and build trusted relationships across cultures and time zones. Why Join Us? At Roche, you will have a front-row seat to one of the most significant digital transformations in the industry. We offer an environment where your curiosity is rewarded, bureaucracy is minimized, and your data models directly impact how we deliver healthcare solutions globally.
