DESCRIPTION: Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Supervisor of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable and help guide a collaborative team in delivering exceptional financial operations. In this key role, you'll oversee daily operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions while maintaining strict compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You'll identify process improvements, support team performance, and contribute to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. This position offers opportunities to implement effective solutions, support team members, and work with stakeholders across the organization to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy. REQUIREMENTS: • Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in AP/AR, accounting, or finance operations • Preferred Fields of Study: Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field • Professional accounting certifications preferred • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial practices, and regulatory requirements • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) • Demonstrated ability to guide, coach, and develop team members • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization • Experience in process improvement and implementing efficiency initiatives • Demonstrated success in meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities • Fluent in English; additional language skills may be considered • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare accurate reports • Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls • Strong collaboration and resolution skills
