The Head of Executive Events Experience is responsible for shaping and delivering high-impact internal engagement experiences that connect executives with employees across the organisation. This role leads the strategy, design and execution of leadership events that bring business priorities to life, strengthen leadership visibility and create meaningful opportunities for dialogue and engagement. Going beyond traditional event management, the role focuses on designing compelling engagement experiences, innovative formats and audience-centric agendas across face-to-face, hybrid and digital channels. Working closely with Senior Leaders and Employees Communications, you will ensure executive events deliver a consistent, engaging and impactful employee experience aligned with organisational priorities. The OpportunityTo excel in this role, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact across the following key responsibilities: Executive Events Strategy: Define and drive a forward-looking vision for internal executive events that strengthen leadership visibility, support organisational priorities and foster meaningful employee engagement. Experience & Format Design: Design internal innovative, audience-centric leadership experiences—including town halls, leadership forums, business updates, strategy sessions and hybrid events—that maximise interaction, dialogue and impact. Agenda & Narrative Architecture: Partner with Communications leads to translate business priorities into compelling internal event narratives, agendas and participant journeys that create clear, engaging and memorable leadership experiences. Leadership Partnership & Technical Oversight: Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders, advising on internal event formats, audience engagement techniques, stagecraft, and delivery to ensure authentic, impactful interactions with employees. Oversee technical execution by ensuring applications are correctly installed on platforms per guidelines, assisting with software upgrades, and providing post-sales/operational support for new parameters and technical inquiries. Programme & Technical Leadership: Provide strategic oversight and operational leadership for complex executive event programmes, ensuring excellence in planning, governance, stakeholder alignment, and flawless execution across multiple channels. Lead the installation, configuration, setup, and optimization of necessary instruments, reagents, or technical assets, resolving issues promptly (with occasional standby required). Team Development & Certification: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, building capability in experience design, stakeholder management, agenda development, and modern engagement practices. Additionally, attend training, get certified on relevant Roche instrumentation/applications, train customers/personnel, and develop support/training documentation. Collective Leadership & Innovation: Foster strong collaboration across Communications, Sales, Technical Support, HR, and business partners, breaking down silos to troubleshoot challenges and deliver integrated employee engagement experiences. Stay ahead of trends in employee engagement, leadership events, hybrid experiences, and digital participation, continuously evolving formats, tools, and approaches to increase impact and audience connection. Who You AreWe are looking for an experienced leader who combines strategic communications thinking with expertise in designing exceptional leadership engagement experiences. To be successful in this role, you will bring: Strategic Experience Designer: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years leading complex executive or internal events, employee engagement programmes, or leadership experience initiatives (minimum 3 years relevant application experience) with a strong focus on audience-centric design. Participation in a relevant development program may substitute for experience. Leadership Engagement Expertise: Proven experience designing and delivering executive events that position leaders effectively, communicate business priorities, and foster meaningful engagement with employees. Strategic Advisor with Strong Sales Ability: Outstanding communication, effective influencing, and strong sales skills, with the executive presence to partner confidently with senior leaders on event strategy, audience engagement, and delivery. Programme & Collaborative Leadership: Demonstrated success leading complex, global event programmes involving senior executives, with strong project governance, stakeholder management, proven collaboration skills, and the ability to elevate team capabilities by aligning cross-functional teams. Bilingual People Leader: A passionate leader with experience developing high-performing teams, fostering excellence in experience design, and possessing proficient written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
