As a Sr Associate Statistical & Mathematical Modelling supporting the Statistical Programming team, is primarily responsible for statistical programming for studies or projects, creating and validating deliverables, and ensuring their quality and efficiency. You will apply scientific principles to solve problems and innovate. Conduct exploratory data analysis and implement statistical methodologies. Improve computational efficiency. Work closely with senior team members to refine modeling techniques and validate model performance. In this role, a typical day will include: Develop and review programming dataset specifications Coordinate activities of all programmers assigned to the same study or project Conduct kickoff meeting to provide an overview of the study or project, discuss deliverables, roles and responsibilities, timelines, and conventions Provide solutions to programming issues and/or ensure efficient implementation. Create primary program to generate deliverables in accordance with TFL shells, programming instructions and programming dataset specifications Validate deliverables Create study, project or global macros Contribute to the development and review programming dataset specifications Ensure quality, timely and efficient completion of deliverables Manage multiple tasks effectively to meet delivery timelines Seek solutions to programming issues and escalate as needed Establish and maintain working relationships with team members of assigned studies or project-level activities. Effectively communicate the status of deliverables and any risks to Trial Programmer and supervisor Contribute to development of SP standards and processes, knowledge sharing and other tasks as assigned WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON: Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in mathematics, statistics, computer science, health sciences or related field 2 years of relevant programming experience Relevant programming experience is in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry Advanced level of English Strong SAS programming skills including development and use of macros Good experience in requirements analysis, resource estimation, planning and tracking deliverables and coordinating activities Extensive experience in developing programming dataset specifications Good working knowledge of statistical concepts Good understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to Statistical Programming (e.g. GCP, ICH) and industry standards such as CDISC HOW YOU CAN THRIVE AT ALCON: Opportunity to join a growing, early-stage organization built within a mature, stable global company.
