The Opportunity: Own the search, gathering, drafting, analysis, review, and maintenance of Genentech’s Managed Care Contracts, including digital record and metadata management in the contract lifecycle management (CLM) system and ensuring accurate entry of contract data. Work closely with Contract Managers and internal partners to review contract needs and requirements in line with Genentech’s contracting strategies, business objectives, and compliance, drafting amendments/notices and initial drafts of amended and restated contracts. Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills by synthesizing complex content into clear, concise, actionable communications and contract language and effectively explaining contract terms to stakeholders. Operate with a continuous improvement and agile mindset: thrive in ambiguity and change, prioritize effectively, work independently after direction, build trusting relationships across stakeholders, and respond to ad hoc requests. Bring or develop working knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system and managed care segments (wholesalers, specialty distributors/pharmacies, GPOs, payers, providers, HTC, hospitals, and health systems) and of Genentech’s contract types, products, and related systems, as well as CLM or comparable technologies and advanced data architecture. Who you are: Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant/transferable work experience and prior contract drafting experience. Demonstrated knowledge of, or strong aptitude to learn, policies and guidelines affecting contracts, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding objectives and goals. High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across a variety of settings and stakeholders. Preferred: experience with CLM systems, managed care, and/or experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industry.
