The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities across Africa. This is a critical role responsible for driving sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization across a diverse and commercially significant spend portfolio. Operating as one of the key procurement resources in the region, this role requires a high degree of independence and accountability across both commercial and operational spend, including distributors, marketing, facilities (via outsourced models), and HR benefits. The role requires a strong procurement professional who can drive discipline and structured sourcing while engaging effectively with commercial stakeholders and external partners, and enabling localisation strategies across Africa. What You’ll Work OnLead end-to-end procurement activities across Africa, including sourcing execution and contract implementation. Deliver cost savings and value aligned to business priorities. Apply sourcing best practices including RFx, benchmarking, and total cost of ownership analysis. Lead supplier negotiations and manage contracts across multiple countries. Manage commercial and operational categories including distributors, fleet, marketing, facilities (IFM), and HR benefits. Drive preferred supplier adoption and supplier performance improvements. Improve working capital outcomes including payment terms and WADP. Support IFM outsourcing and manage third-party vendor performance. Drive office cost efficiency (cost per SQM / headcount). Act as primary procurement lead for Africa, operating independently across markets. Engage with stakeholders and external partners including distributors and agencies. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, B-BBEE, and localisation requirements. Support localisation and development of local suppliers and partners. Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field. 8+ years of procurement or sourcing experience. Experience managing multi-category spend portfolios. Strong negotiation and supplier management experience. Experience in Africa or emerging markets preferred. Team management experience preferred. Core Skills & CapabilitiesStrong procurement discipline and structured sourcing capability. Commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to operate independently in low-support environments. Strong influencing and communication skills. Resilience and adaptability in complex markets.
