Job description

Main Responsibilities: Support the development of the global category strategy for machined components, and lead the implementation of local and regional sourcing activities. Manage and develop a sustainable supplier base that supports the Division’s strategy and long-term business needs. Deliver category targets by applying total cost of ownership principles, including cost, quality, delivery, inventory, risk and supplier performance. Lead sourcing and savings initiatives locally and globally to optimize cost and supplier competitiveness. Monitor relevant machining supply markets, analyze market intelligence and develop supplier profiles for key suppliers. Identify, evaluate, qualify and develop machining suppliers with the right technical capability, capacity and competitiveness. Assess supplier capability in CNC machining processes, including turning, milling, fixturing, tolerances, machining sequences and process stability. Drive supplier performance improvements in areas such as cost, quality, lead time, delivery accuracy, inventory levels and operational efficiency. Support supplier qualification, onboarding and industrial readiness assessments for new and transferred machined components. Manage supplier quality performance measurement and reporting, and actively support supplier performance evaluations. Ensure suppliers comply with Sandvik policies, procedures and guidelines, including EHS, Supplier Code of Conduct, trade compliance and other relevant requirements. Work according to Sandvik sourcing processes, using relevant systems, tools and governance models. Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, operations, supply chain and other key stakeholders to ensure sourcing decisions are aligned with business and technical requirements. Coordinate sourcing-related activities and supplier topics on site when required.
