About the TeamMicrochip FPGA Business unit offers an extensive portfolio of low and mid-range density FPGAs that lead the industry in their low power consumption, reliability, and security capabilities. Designing with Microchip FPGAs, SoC FPGAs and radiation tolerant FPGAs allow you to meet high-bandwidth connectivity and high-data throughput your applications need. We in the IP Engineering group work on delivering end-to-end IP from the specification, design, verification to validating it on our FPGA platforms. The IP Engineering group (Microchip FPGA BU) is responsible for delivering the Soft IP’s as part of the FPGA ecosystem and is available through Libero software. The huge set of catalog IP’s enables the customers to build complex optimal designs, reducing the total risk and increasing the time to market in areas such as high-speed serial protocols, DSP, memory controllers, PHY IP’s, avionics, bridges, areas of functional safety for our Microchip FPGA products. Please visit us at - FPGA Intellectual Property Cores | Microsemi About the Position The successful candidate will be a member of the IP Engineering group in Microsemi India and report to the IP Engineering Manager. This is a hands-on technical contributor role that will allow the right candidate to develop their engineering skills and participate in varied, interesting and challenging development projects. The successful candidate works to achieve operational targets with major impact on the departmental results. Essential Characteristics · A demonstrable track record of developing RTL solutions at the block and IP level using Verilog/ VHDL · Digital logic design background with a high level of proficiency in Verilog and VHDL · Working experience of FPGA design flow · Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English · History of working to defined processes and procedures · Contributes to the development of goals for the department and planning efforts · Ability to deliver complex and large projects that span outside of immediate job area · Perform with limited oversight Very Desirable Characteristics · Expert user of Synplify synthesis and Modelsim simulation tools · Expert user of Linting and CDC tools · Work experience in a multi-national engineering company · Design familiarity with ARM AMBA bus systems · Experience of System Verilog · Knowledge of one or more of peripheral cores such as UART, GPIO’s, SPI, FIFO, I2C, memory controller, AMBA (AXI/ AHB/ APB/ Bridge) designs Advantageous Characteristics · Background in Digital Soft IP development · Working experience on Ethernet, DDR or high-speed protocols · Experience designing solutions with Microchip (Microsemi) FPGAs · Knowledge of processor-based systems · MATLAB and C language programming skills At Microchip, we strive to provide opportunities that create significant development experiences and a sense of ownership directly impacting customer success.
