Sr. Manager, ERP Master Data (MFG) In this role, a typical day will include: Manage effective Product MDG strategy, daily operations, and projects across Alcon for all franchises and regions (Finished goods plus raw materials, Bills of Material, etc.) Evolve and utilize governance / maintenance processes and tools to drive data quality across global and local domains, ensuring long-term data compliance and quality while making effective use of resources, both onshore and offshore. Implement Master Data Governance guidelines to ensure the quality and integration of master data across the supply spectrum are according to the defined processes and meet the globally defined KPIs. Maintain and communicate full process documentation (e.g. SOPs) for Material Master data – including definitions, owners, and business rules – and ensure adherence globally. Work closely with other Business Process Owners and project managers (within and beyond the Product Master Data team) to continuously improve the end-to-end processes. Build team structure and drive development of talent by empowering associates with clear and balanced responsibilities and then holding accountable. Organize and conduct online and/or classroom Training/re-training for Local Data Stewards about process, governance and content (system, enhancements). Act as the bridge between ERP and business end users to manage the change management within ERP master data attributes. Support various business projects (e.g. acquisition / divestment, product launch, supply chain restructuring, etc.) requiring product master data expertise in solution design and implementation. Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations (AFCM, GxP, TUV, etc.) where applicable. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON: Languages: Fluency (written and spoken) in English required. Experience: High-performing professional with a track record of successfully defining and implementing global SAP business processes for Product Master Data governance and maintenance while achieving results in line with strategic direction. Possesses cultural awareness; strong mind-set of continuous improvement and change management while keeping the Alcon customer in mind; ability to network and communicate across multiple functions and levels globally. Min. 7 years of business and/or IT experience in a Manufacturing and Supply Chain context. Experience in life sciences industry and other functions a plus. Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including senior management communications. Core Competencies Experienced leader who is able to effectively cope with complexities and ambiguities. Technical Competencies In Depth understanding of SAP MM Objects - Material Master, BOMs and Routings. Excellent understanding of the medical device industry, business and operations. Working knowledge of manufacturing and inter-company operations. High level of relevant IT systems knowledge (e.g., ERP, SAP).
