PTC is looking for a Senior Vice President, People Operations to design, lead and execute the strategy, delivery, and continuous evolution of PTC's global People Operations organization, ensuring the technology, systems, processes, and services that support employees, managers, and the People team are scalable, efficient, and aligned with the company's operating priorities. In this role, you will leverage technology, AI, automation, and data to modernize how the People organization operates. As PTC continues to evolve its operating model, this leader will build the systems, processes, and AI capabilities that enable a more efficient, scalable, and data-driven People function. Working closely across the People leadership team, you will ensure People technology and operational capabilities support business priorities while delivering an exceptional PTC experience at every interaction. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will play an essential role in how the People organization executes as well as the overall employee experience. By providing reliable systems, streamlined processes, high-quality workforce data, and practical AI capabilities, this leader enables greater operational efficiency, stronger decision making, and an exceptional PTC experience for employees, managers, and the People team. Core Responsibilities People Operations Strategy: Define and evolve the global People Operations strategy in alignment with company strategy and operating priorities. Lead the evolution of the People operating model to improve scalability, consistency, and operational effectiveness. Simplify processes, reduce operational complexity, improve experiences, and drive accountability through technology, automation, AI, and thoughtful operating practices. Partner with the People Leadership Team to ensure operational priorities directly support business objectives and organizational effectiveness. People Technology, Operations & AI: Own the strategy and roadmap for People technology, with Workday serving as PTC's global system of record. Lead the adoption of AI, automation, and intelligent workflows to improve productivity, simplify work, and strengthen the employee and manager experience. Lead global People Operations supporting the complete employee lifecycle through reliable, efficient, and scalable processes and services to deliver consistent experiences. Ensure People systems are integrated, secure, and capable of supporting a global organization. Establish service metrics, operating rhythms, and accountability that drive continuous improvement. Data, Analytics & Workforce Insights: Own PTC's People data strategy, including governance, quality, reporting, workforce analytics, and AI-enabled insights. Build and lead a centralized People reporting and analytics function that delivers consistent, trusted, and actionable workforce data across the enterprise. Leverage AI and advanced analytics to identify trends, improve forecasting, and enable more proactive workforce decisions. Ensure People data is accurate, accessible, secure, and aligned across Workday and the broader enterprise technology landscape. Continuously evolve reporting and analytics capabilities to improve operational visibility, organizational effectiveness, and the employee experience. Enterprise Partnership: Build strong partnerships across the People Leadership Team and enterprise functions including IT, Finance, Legal, Security, Internal Audit, and Corporate Systems. Ensure People technology integrates effectively across enterprise platforms and supports broader business priorities. Influence enterprise technology investments where they improve operational efficiency, organizational effectiveness, and the employee experience. Governance & Compliance: Ensure operational compliance across global employment processes, workforce data, and People systems. Establish appropriate controls, governance, and audit readiness across the People technology landscape. Partner with Finance to execute on headcount governance and workforce planning aligned with our holistic talent strategy Partner with Legal, Security, and IT to protect employee data while balancing operational efficiency with appropriate risk management. Organization & Talent: Build and develop a high-performing, globally distributed People Operations organization. Invest in leadership development, succession planning, and modern technical capabilities across the team. Foster a culture of partnership, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications: 15+ years of progressive leadership experience across People Operations, HR Technology, Shared Services, or HR Transformation. Demonstrated experience leading global People Operations organizations within enterprise software, SaaS, or other high-growth global companies. Deep expertise with Workday, including strategy, governance, optimization, and transformation. Proven experience leading enterprise-wide process improvement, automation, AI adoption, and operational transformation. Experience leading globally distributed teams across multiple regions. Proven ability to build partnerships and lead through influence across highly matrixed organizations. Experience partnering closely with executive leaders across HR, Finance, IT, Legal, and other enterprise functions. Experience leading organizations through growth and organizational transformation. Strong operational mindset with the ability to simplify complexity and deliver measurable outcomes aligned to business priorities. PTC carefully considers a wide range of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $275,000-$310,000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
