What you will do in this role: A Calibration Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, and adjusting instruments and equipment to ensure they meet established standards of accuracy and performance. Job Responsibilities Perform calibration, testing, and adjustments on mechanical, electrical, and electronic instruments. Use precision measurement tools to ensure equipment meets required specifications. Document calibration results and maintain detailed records of testing and adjustments. Troubleshoot and repair instruments when deviations or malfunctions occur. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company quality standards. Collaborate with engineers, quality control teams, and production staff to resolve calibration issues. Maintain calibration tools and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition. Follow safety protocols and Integer QMS procedures. You embed Quality within the Engineering discipline – “I own Quality.” You are a standard bearer for Quality in everything we do at Integer, by assuring adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS), facilitating and/or contributing to corrective and preventive actions, and contributing to the successful attainment of our quality KPI’s and journey to 5 Sigma. How you will be measured: Live the Integer Values through leading by example. Assist the site in achieving its annual goals for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory. Achieve all Goals and Objectives assigned. What sets you apart: Minimum Education (preferred): Associate degree or certification in electronics, metrology, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Minimum Experience (preferred): Hands-on experience in calibration, testing, or quality control. Specialized Knowledge: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Calibration Technician) are beneficial. Special Skills: Strong understanding of measurement principles and calibration techniques. Experience with precision measuring instruments such as handheld measurement devices and smart scopes. Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using calibration management software IndySoft is a plus. Good communication and teamwork skills. SPECIALIZATION: CALIBRATION: Manages the calibration system to ensure the electrical, mechanical, and electronic measurement tools comply with all the requirements according to the stablished standards. Ensures that all the tools are calibrated either to the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technologies) traceability pattern reference, or to the tool manufacture’s specifications. Plans the sequence of test and measurement tools to be calibrated. Coordinates the calibration of measurement tools with external vendors. Coordinates sourcing activities for new calibration vendors that are aligned with the requirements of the instruments to be calibrated. Manages the database for tool control that specifies entries, exits and obsolescence.
