This position reports to: Country Holding Officer __ Mission of the role Are you passionate about leadership in Health, Safety and Environment, regulatory compliance, and continuous transformation in complex corporate environments? At ABB, we are looking for a Brazil HSE Manager to act at the corporate level, leading the national Health, Safety, Environment and Wellbeing strategy, with direct interface with senior leadership, local and global teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders. This position will be responsible for ensuring a high level of compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in Brazil, leading HSE programs and KPIs, acting as the technical responsible person for critical programs such as PCMSO and PGR/PGRO, managing environmental liabilities and licensing, developing the HSE team, and driving projects and continuous improvement initiatives within a multidimensional, multi-site structure. Responsibilities Lead the national HSE strategy, ensuring compliance with Brazilian Regulatory Standards (NRs), eSocial requirements, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, and other applicable legal obligations. Act as the technical responsible person for PCMSO (NR-7) and PGR/PGRO (NR-1) programs, ensuring implementation, monitoring, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Manage environmental liabilities, licensing processes, and relationships with regulatory agencies such as CETESB, IBAMA and INEMA. Consolidate indicators, monitor HSE KPIs, and report results, risks, and opportunities to local senior leadership and global functional leadership. Coordinate external audits and compliance processes related to management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Lead, develop, and support the HSE team, including internal employees and third-party partners, fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and accountability. Represent ABB before regulatory authorities and support businesses and divisions in implementing consistent health, safety, environmental, and social responsibility practices. Manage initiatives such as Emergency Action Plans (PAE), emergency brigades, CIPA, SIPAT, and wellbeing programs, contributing to the continuous evolution of a prevention and people care culture. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably with a background related to Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety, Medicine, or related fields. Solid experience in HSE leadership, preferably in large multinational companies with multi-site operations in Brazil. Experience in team management and strong ability to influence business areas without formal authority. Deep knowledge of Brazilian Regulatory Standards (NRs), environmental legislation, and legal requirements applicable to operations in Brazil. Experience as the technical responsible person for PCMSO and PGR/PGRO. Knowledge of eSocial, especially events S-2210, S-2220, and S-2240. Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 audits. Consistent track record in delivering HSE projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Advanced/Fluent English, with the ability to interact with global stakeholders. Nice to have Active professional registration, such as CREA, CRQ, CRM, or equivalent. Knowledge of SAP. Experience in companies with complex industrial structures and strong interface with customers, operations, and regulatory bodies.
