Work Schedule Second Shift (Afternoons) Environmental Conditions Office Job Description Make an Impact at the Forefront of InnovationJoin Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Programmer Analyst and contribute to innovative clinical research by delivering high-quality bioinformatics programming solutions. In this role, you'll perform bioinformatics programming activities supporting the statistical and computational needs of research projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary study teams under the guidance of a Lead Programmer. Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week) Work Schedule: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM Manila Time What You'll DoPerform programming tasks assigned by study and project team leads, including:Creating, executing, maintaining, and validating programs independently. Transferring data across multiple data management systems and operating systems. Combining data from multiple sources and structures. Generating and storing summary datasets. Producing reports and integrating multiple databases. Validating programs that generate listings, tables, and figures using SAS and other standard tools and processes. Prepare and analyze clinical trial datasets, including laboratory, vital signs, tumor response, imaging, quality of life, and adverse event data for research purposes. Collaborate with researchers and multidisciplinary teams to analyze challenges and recommend technology-driven solutions and computational strategies. Develop custom code using existing tools and applications to generate or validate outputs for clinical bioinformatics and technical use. Contribute as an active member of multidisciplinary project teams and, under management guidance, begin supporting lead programming activities. Ensure compliance with departmental SOPs and working practice documents while contributing to training materials and process improvements. Continuously expand technical knowledge in programming, clinical trials, and the pharmaceutical industry through mentoring, training sessions, and participation in departmental initiatives. Education & ExperienceMaster's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or a related field; or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent academic/vocational qualification). Minimum of 2 years of relevant programming experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the role. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesSolid understanding of one or more programming languages. Strong attention to detail. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in English. Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet challenging deadlines. Positive attitude with excellent collaboration skills. Self-motivated with demonstrated initiative. Solid understanding of relational database structures and complex data systems. Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Working ConditionsOffice-based work in a collaborative environment with standard office equipment. Hybrid work setup requiring onsite work 2 days per week. Occasional travel to local or international site locations may be required.
