THE ROLE: We are looking for our next team member to drive Linux kernel and operating system enablement on AMD server platforms. He/she will be responsible for delivering platform readiness, feature enablement, performance optimization and OS certification across China Linux distributions and cloud customers. The role involves close collaboration with Linux communities, ecosystem partners customers to accelerate AMD EPYC adoption. THE PERSON: High integrity, maturity and ownership mindset Customer-focused with strong execution and communication skills Passionate about Linux, open-source software and system architecture Trusted partner for internal and external stakeholders Strong problem-solving and debugging skills Collaborative team player effective across technical and business functions KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, debug and optimize Linux kernel and operating system features on AMD EPYC platforms Enable AMD technologies across China Linux distributions including openEuler, OpenAnolis, OpenCloudOS, and veLinux Drive kernel backporting, validation, and certification activities Diagnose and resolve kernel, virtualization, performance, and stability issues for customers Collaborate with Linux communities and ecosystem partners on feature enablement and upstream adoption Perform system-level analysis across CPU, memory, storage, networking and virtualization subsystems Support platform readiness and customer deployments for cloud, enterprise, and AI workloads PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 8–15 years of Linux kernel, OS or systems software development experience Solid understanding of Linux kernel internals, memory management, scheduling, virtualization, and performance optimization Experience with Linux debugging and profiling tools Experience with kernel development, backporting or Linux distribution enablement Familiarity with KVM, QEMU, libvirt, and open-source development workflows Knowledge of x86 server architecture and enterprise Linux distributions Experience contributing to open-source projects Experience in AI-assisted kernel porting is a plus ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field required Master's degree preferred LOCATION: Shenzhen or Shanghai, China #LI-CC1 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance .
