Help us get ahead of disease together with our Lab Safety & 5S Governance Internship, 2027: Education required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Engineering or Sciences discipline with a focus in Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy or Chemistry Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English Internship period: January to June 2027 Application deadline: As applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, we recommend applying as soon as possible for your application to be considered. What will you do? Drive 5S (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardzie and Sustain) and laboratory zoning roll-out, establish standard work to achieve GPS maturity and achieve inspection readiness. In addition, help develop a robust Lab Safety Program aligned to SLE expectations and governance. Lead 5S assessments and Zoning implementation across assigned lab areas: floor markings, tool shadow boards, waste segregation, labeling and storage improvements and process confirmation to sustain 5S implemented Develop and document standard work and visual controls to support GPS maturity requirements Support creation and/or update of lab safety policies, SOPs and governance documents to align with SLE (Site Laboratory Excellence) expectations Deliver training sessions and visual work instructions for standard work and safety practices Support other lab-identified projects as required What will you learn? To learn about the laboratory safety requirements and how systems and processes are implemented to ensure a safe working environment for all lab users 5S baseline assessment and improvement plan for assigned zones to support inspection readiness To deploy GPS 5S standard for the whole lab and obtained 5S certification for 1 identified zone Improvement in GPS maturity score for pilot areas To review and revamp Lab Safety Program including safety Gemba requirement, RA program, new chemical introduction standard work Governance and performance management What are we looking for?
