What will you do? Laboratory Operational Excellence: Support all routine laboratory operational tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and execution of analytical activities aligned with project timelines. These operational tasks include carrying out equipment maintenance, preparation of reagents/ chemicals/ materials for analytical testing and liaison with external vendors. Data-Driven Insights and Recommendations: Support the generation of analytical data of drug substances/ intermediates to drive high impact, data-driven recommendations for the development, optimization and transfer of vaccines manufacturing processes to improve right first-time performance, product quality, robustness, cost savings and manufacturability. Problem-Solving and Root Cause Analysis: Work with equipment vendors and support troubleshooting of analytical equipment, methods and out-of-trend results, ensuring timely resolution with effective corrective and preventive actions to minimize business impact and keep projects on track. Data Lifecycle Management: Ensure thorough, complete and accurate documentation of all laboratory procedures and data, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, protocols, reports, laboratory notebooks, technical memos, raw data and risk assessments. Maintain compliance with GMP and GLP requirements ensuring data traceability and easy retrieval. Champion for Laboratory Safety and Sustainability: Support environmental health, safety and sustainability activities for the laboratory. Ensure a safe laboratory working environment and inspection readiness of the laboratory through regular safety GEMBA(s) and risk assessments for all analytical activities carried out. What will you learn? Acquire knowledge on Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and data integrity (DI)/ ALCOA principles, with application of this knowledge as an Analytical Scientist in training. On-the-job (OJT) training on analytical laboratory techniques commonly used for the analysis of vaccines intermediates and final products as part of quality control and process development. Understand analytical equipment validation principles and maintenance of analytical equipment to ensure reliability and data quality through change management, preventive maintenance and calibration (PMC) and performance verification. Carry out analytical method validation and technology transfer from R&D/ other analytical hubs to support process development for new vaccines products and other existing products. Carry out non-routine characterization of vaccine intermediates and final products, data interpretation and reporting to support commercial validation and filing of new vaccines products. Develop awareness of commercial vaccines manufacturing processes through plant tours. What are we looking for? Technical competency and laboratory skills in pharmaceutical sciences/ biological sciences/ chemistry, analytical sciences. Enjoy working in a laboratory environment and thrive in activities related to analytical troubleshooting, problem solving and root cause analysis to meet business needs. Excellent inter-personal communication skills, enjoy working and collaborating cross-functionally and across global teams. Curious, agile, adaptable to change and able to work under time pressure.
