As a Buyer/Planner, you will optimize inventory, production planning, and supply chain execution to ensure product availability while balancing inventory investment. Working closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, Commercial, and Operations, you will use data-driven insights to improve planning, mitigate supply risks, and support business objectives. Key Responsibilities Inventory & Supply Planning Develop and maintain inventory and production plans that balance customer service, operational efficiency, and working capital. Monitor inventory levels, safety stock, and planning parameters to optimize inventory and minimize excess and obsolete materials. Support Make-to-Stock (MTS) and Make-to-Order (MTO) planning while maintaining product availability and resolving back orders. Production & Capacity Planning Analyze demand, supply, and capacity constraints to develop forward-looking production plans. Partner with Manufacturing and Procurement to align production schedules with customer demand and business priorities. Identify supply risks, escalate critical issues, and support mitigation strategies to minimize operational disruption. Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) Prepare inventory, demand, and supply data to support SIOP reviews and business planning. Maintain accurate ERP/MRP planning data and develop reports on inventory, capacity, and product availability. Identify process improvements that enhance planning accuracy, operational efficiency, and inventory performance. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in supply planning, inventory planning, materials management, or supply chain operations. Experience using ERP/MRP planning systems (Oracle, SAP, JDE, or similar). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications APICS CPIM, CSCP, or similar supply chain certification. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience supporting SIOP/IBP processes and inventory optimization initiatives. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of inventory management, supply planning, MRP, and production planning. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while driving continuous improvement. Compensation and Benefits The salary range estimated for this position based in New Jersey is $75,000.00–$100,000.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
