Patients treated by interventional cardiologists are presenting with increasingly complex disease which requires our team to have a strong focus on developing innovative products and marketing strategies that provide a meaningful clinical, technical, and economic benefit. Through our recent acquisition of CathWorks, Medtronic has embarked on a new and exciting chapter of setting the standard in coronary physiology. The CathWorks FFRangio system combines artificial intelligence and advanced computational science to obtain physiologic information from routine angiograms, eliminating the need for drug stimulation and invasive pressure wires. It provides physicians with a quick and reliable intraprocedural physiologic assessment for the entire coronary tree. The system is backed by robust evidence, including the recently published ALL-RISE trial which demonstrated that CathWorks FFRangio is non-inferior to wire-based physiology for MACE at one year, with statistically significant improvement in resource utilization and reduced procedure time. Your team and this role will play a major part in making the way physicians assess and treat their patients more informed, less invasive, and more efficient! This position is remote to enhance our competitive edge and expand our cross-functional collaboration efforts. This role will require 30% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects. This is a high visibility role which requires extensive experience in software and capital equipment downstream and upstream marketing, market development, commercial models, and go-to-market strategy. In addition to global product marketing team leadership responsibilities, the CathWorks director will also work closely with cross-functional teams and marketing partners in global regions and provide direction and leadership within the broader Coronary and CathWorks organization. A Day in the Life Strategic leadership Lead the development of short and long-term strategic marketing plans integrating commercial strategy, product launches, product promotion, internal training, evidence strategy, and medical education. Monitor competitive landscape, digital trends, and emerging technologies Work closely with R&D and digital technology teams to provide market and customer needs research and influence product roadmap and usability Partner with clinical, health economics, and regulatory teams to support claims, evidence and reimbursement plan development Multi-channel marketing strategy and execution Develop differentiated value propositions that connect digital capabilities to clinical, economic, and workflow outcomes Develop deep understanding of customer needs, digital maturity, and clinical workflows Translate technical features (software, AI, analytics, connectivity) into compelling customer benefits Go-to-market leadership Develop global pricing and business strategy in alignment with overall business objectives Partner closely with regional marketing peers to drive geography expansion and commercial performance, account targeting and segmentation, communications, training, pricing, forecasting and evidence dissemination globally Team leadership Work individually and/or with the team in recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, modeling revenue opportunity and overall project value. Leading team of high performing product managers to achieve ambitious goals that meet business objectives and ensure successful response from customers Foster a culture of excellence by recruiting, coaching, and developing top talent, creating a team that is a destination for high performers. Must Have: Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree 10+ years of experience in marketing or market development work (7 years of managerial experience) or advanced degree with a minimum of 10years relevant experience, minimum 7 years of managerial experience) Deep experience and understanding of the AI technology landscape; commercial expertise in developing and deploying innovative solutions, including AI supported applications, within the medical device industry Historical experience identifying and rolling out software and capital equipment business models. Proven ability to translate complex technology into simple, compelling narratives Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to deliver results in a matrixed environment Demonstrated critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills Experience leading a high performing team Ability to travel up to 35% of the time Nice to have MBA or Master's in Business, Hospital Administration, Nursing, or Life Science Experience in medical devices, healthcare technology, or digital health Familiarity with interventional cardiology, coronary procedures, and healthcare economics For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
