As a Technical Writer, you will be the focal point for Roche to research, develop, write, and edit technical and informational materials for various organizational need publications (including product labels, package inserts, instrument manuals, price lists, application sheets, customer bulletins and letters, online help text, instrument calibrator and parameter diskettes, or other electronic documentation and miscellaneous publications for both internal and external customer usage). You will collaborate with medical subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy of the medical content, ensuring all materials meet established global and country standards as to appearance, content, and compliance with applicable government policies, procedures, and regulations, while permanently optimizing processes to increase quality and efficiency standards. Along with your application, please submit a technical writing sample explaining how to use public transportation in your city for foreigners visiting for the first time (you can select the starting point and destination). This sample will be used to assess your technical writing skills. About the opportunity:Write and update customer-facing and service content in English for Roche instruments and software, respecting project timelines, documentation standards, guidelines, and templates. Gather and consolidate information for technical content creation independently, working closely with content/project managers, project teams, manufacturers, and development/GCS teams locally and globally. Act as a cross-functional expert with the UX department and Terminologist to create English UI text, reviewing them for translatability, terminological correctness, and style adherence. Contribute actively to the risk assessment process for assigned products, ensuring all relevant product risks and their mitigations are clearly described in the documentation. Create target language versions of deliverables after translation (all formats), managing external translation agencies and coordinating the review process with affiliates. Perform peer reviews on documents or topics written by other technical writers, ensuring adherence to terminology and content guidelines while providing constructive feedback. Create and modify multimedia content independently (photographs, screenshots, videos, 3D graphics, diagrams) using appropriate software tools, or coordinate their creation and integration. Handle smaller content management tasks (like organizing reviews), assist Language Operations with translation management, and contribute to updating tools, processes, and standards. Who you are:A professional with a self-starting mindset, strong ownership, high efficiency, creativity, and the ability to work independently in a highly regulated, complex matrix environment. Strong organizational and project management skills, sharp attention to detail, compliance, and deep practical knowledge of FDA regulations, quality system guidelines, ISO, and industry standards. Experienced in using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools within your professional daily routine. Capable of acting as a terminologist: creating, managing, and entering approved English terms in the Roche database (DIAlex), and providing product terminology to stakeholders. Available to work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, with flexible hours to collaborate with global stakeholders (e.g., starting at 6 am and/or ending at 8 pm; holidays and paid time off depend on local rules). Willing and available to travel nationally and internationally as necessary. Formally graduated (Full Degree) in Technical Writing, Medical Technology, Communications, Health Science, or equivalent. Experienced with a minimum of 5 years in technical writing, product labeling, technical publications, or related fields, featuring advanced English (validate) and availability to be based in São Paulo, Brazil.
