Position Summary The Assistant Finance Controller supports the Finance team within the Americas Regional Business Units by delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis and strong financial controls that enable informed business decisions. Based in our Americas Finance Hub in Costa Rica, this role provides financial accounting, controlling and reporting support for the Brazil business while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies and audit requirements. These responsibilities include some of the following: Prepare financial reporting for Brazil, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and other regional reporting, with meaningful financial commentary. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, corporate accounting policies and regulatory requirements. Execute and maintain effective financial controls aligned with global finance processes and best practices. Review financial results, balance sheet reconciliations and accounting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Support internal and external audit activities by preparing financial information and required documentation. Collaborate with finance stakeholders to deliver high-quality reporting and drive continuous process improvements. Why You? Basic Qualifications We are looking for professionals with the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Financial Controlling, Accounting or Financial Reporting, preferably within a multinational or shared services environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas and financial data analysis. Advanced English (C1) and Intermediate Portuguese. Strong communication, stakeholder management and customer service skills, with experience working in a matrix organization. Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications would be an advantage: Experience supporting financial reporting for multiple legal entities or international markets. Knowledge of IFRS, internal controls and financial compliance requirements. Experience supporting internal and external financial audits. Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP) and financial reporting tools. Continuous improvement mindset with experience identifying opportunities to simplify or optimize finance processes. Ability to build collaborative relationships across cross-functional and regional teams. Working Arrangement This role is based on-site in Costa Rica as part of the Americas Finance Hub, collaborating with local, regional and global Finance teams supporting the Brazil business.
