Job Title: AI Platform Engineer Location: Omaha, NE (Onsite – 5 days a week) Role overview We are seeking an experienced ai platform engineer to accelerate foundational AI platform initiatives and supplement internal engineering capabilities. This engagement will focus on the design, development, automation, and implementation of enterprise ai platform components that enable scalable, secure, and efficient AI/ML solutions across the organization. The employee will work closely with internal platform architects, principal engineers, and product teams to deliver core platform capabilities, automation, integration patterns, and operational standards that support ai innovation at scale. Platform focus areas Design and implement foundational capabilities that enable data scientists and ai engineers to rapidly develop, deploy, and govern generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions. Across all platforms, the focus is on delivering reusable platform services, automation, and engineering best practices that improve productivity, scalability, reliability, and governance. Key responsibilities Implement secure, scalable, and highly available ai platform components and services. Develop automation, frameworks, accelerators, and reusable patterns that enable rapid onboarding and delivery of ai solutions. Implement ai integration frameworks and interoperability patterns: model context protocol (MCP), Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communications, agent orchestration and workflow automation Develop testing, validation, certification, and governance automation to support responsible and auditable ai practices. Implement ci/cd, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and operational automation for ai platforms. Collaborate with cloud, security, and platform engineering teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise standards. Support platform modernization initiatives and contribute to architectural roadmaps. Produce technical documentation, implementation guides, and operational runbooks. Transfer knowledge and best practices to internal engineering teams throughout the engagement. Each platform has distinct requirements for tools, techniques, and components. The platform team is tasked with delivering the foundational elements and automation necessary for data scientists, ai engineers, and optimization engineers to effectively scale their operations and drive innovation. Required qualifications: A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Or Equivalent Experience. Strong understanding of platform products, including their functionality and dependencies. Expertise in Java, Python, Sql, Linux, And Scripting. Strong emphasis on automation. Excellent troubleshooting skills. The base salary for this position is $ 92,250 to $98,256 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
