Vaccines Medical Science Liaison You will be a field-based Medical Science Liaison focused on vaccines in South Africa. You will build trusted, peer-to-peer scientific relationships with clinicians, professional bodies and investigators. You will share clear, balanced medical information and gather clinical insights to shape local medical strategy and evidence generation. We value curiosity, clinical judgement and collaboration. Responsibilities: This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: - Build and maintain credible, peer-to-peer scientific relationships with healthcare professionals, clinical investigators and professional societies. - Deliver accurate, balanced and non-promotional scientific information in one-to-one and small-group settings. - Collect, document and share medical voice of customer and clinical insights to inform local medical and evidence plans. - Support clinical research activities, including site identification, investigator engagement and scientific input to studies. - Plan and deliver medical education activities, advisory boards and scientific workshops with internal partners. - Work with cross-functional colleagues to align medical activities with patient-focused goals and compliance requirements. You will join a collaborative country medical team and partner with cross-functional stakeholders. Basic Qualification We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals: - Degree in medicine, pharmacy, nursing or life sciences (for example MBChB, MBBS, MD, PharmD, BPharm, MSc, PhD). - Minimum 2 years’ experience in MSL or Medical advisor role - Proven ability to interpret clinical and scientific data and communicate it clearly to healthcare audiences. - Experience building professional relationships with healthcare professionals and clinical investigators. - Valid right to work in South Africa and willingness to travel regularly across the territory. - Commitment to act with integrity and to comply with local laws, regulations and company standards. Preferred Qualification If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus - Prior experience in vaccines, immunology or public health.- Advanced clinical or scientific degree such as MD, PhD or equivalent. - Experience supporting clinical trials, investigator-initiated studies or real-world evidence projects. - Knowledge of the South African healthcare system and public health programmes. - Strong presentation, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills for scientific meetings. - Experience working in cross-functional teams within pharmaceutical or healthcare organisations.
