DESCRIPTION: We are seeking an Engineer II - Documentation Specialist to support document lifecycle management, engineering standards control, version management, and governance processes for the Global CM Documentation & Industrialization Hub. This role will help ensure that manufacturing documentation, supplier records, engineering templates, best practices, and technology transfer materials are controlled, organized, accessible, and maintained in accordance with defined governance and quality expectations. Key Responsibilities Manage document lifecycle processes including creation, review, approval, release, revision, archival, and retirement of controlled documentation Maintain version control, naming conventions, metadata standards, taxonomy, and repository structure for CM documentation libraries Support governance of engineering templates, manufacturing standards, work instructions, playbooks, and best-practice documents Coordinate document reviews and approvals with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Procurement, and external manufacturing stakeholders Ensure documentation completeness, accuracy, traceability, and compliance with applicable internal procedures and quality expectations Support audit readiness by maintaining organized document records, revision history, approval evidence, and retrieval processes Identify documentation gaps, inconsistencies, duplicate content, and obsolete records, and drive corrective cleanup actions Support CM Portal and documentation library administration from a content governance and document control perspective Develop user guidance, training materials, and standard operating practices for documentation submission, retrieval, and change management Track documentation KPIs including document aging, approval cycle time, compliance gaps, and repository health Partner with analytics and knowledge management colleagues to improve content searchability, usability, and adoption Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience in Engineering, Technical Documentation, Quality Systems, Information Management, Operations, or a related discipline Experience in document control, technical documentation, engineering documentation, quality systems, or records management Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, quality, supplier management, or regulated documentation environments Working knowledge of document lifecycle management, change control, metadata, taxonomy, version control, and records governance Experience with PLM, SharePoint, document management systems, eQMS, ERP, or controlled repository platforms Ability to structure complex technical content into clear templates, libraries, and governance processes Familiarity with audit readiness, quality systems, compliance documentation, and controlled document practices Strong technical writing, editing, proofreading, and information organization skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple document workflows concurrently Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills in a global environment Key Competencies Documentation governance discipline and attention to detail Strong ownership of data integrity, version control, and compliance Customer-focused content organization and usability mindset Structured execution and follow-through Cross-functional coordination and stakeholder support Continuous improvement mindset for document processes Accountability for accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness
