DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Manager - Global CM Documentation & Industrialization Hub to establish and lead a centralized capability supporting engineering documentation, industrialization readiness, operational governance, and knowledge management across Thermo Fisher Scientific's global Contract Manufacturing and OEM network. This role will serve as the product owner for the CM Documentation Hub, CM Portal, and Idea Portal while partnering with Regional Directors, R&D, Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and external manufacturing partners. The position will build scalable systems, global standards, and manufacturing knowledge infrastructure that improve supplier performance, accelerate technology transfers, strengthen cost transparency, and enable operational excellence. The role is centered on Contract Manufacturing and OEM management excellence, operations strategy support including Make/Buy and Core/Non-Core assessments, and co-manufacturing site operations and supply intervention support. Initial scope includes technology transfer documentation, CM Portal and Idea Portal governance, and global best-practice deployment, with future expansion into Bill of Process (BOP), Bill of Equipment (BOE), and Bill of Quality (BOQ). Key Responsibilities Build and lead the Global CM Documentation & Industrialization Hub, including operating model, governance cadence, role clarity, and stakeholder engagement model Own the strategic roadmap, adoption, and continuous improvement of the CM Portal, Idea Portal, documentation library, and associated knowledge management capabilities Develop scalable engineering documentation standards, templates, playbooks, and lifecycle management processes across the global CM and OEM network Lead standardization of technology transfer documentation, manufacturing readiness assessments, supplier industrialization support, and operational governance routines Partner with Regional Directors and cross-functional leaders to support Contract Manufacturing and OEM management excellence across commercial, operational, performance, quality, and engineering dimensions Support Make/Buy and Core/Non-Core operations strategy initiatives by enabling structured manufacturing data, process documentation, supplier capability inputs, and cost transparency insights Support co-manufacturing site operations and supply intervention activities through engineering coordination, documentation readiness, risk tracking, and escalation management Develop and maintain global best-practice libraries, lessons learned, engineering standards, and reusable templates to accelerate deployment across external manufacturing partners Build and execute the roadmap for future BOP, BOE, and BOQ deployment, including governance, ownership model, data structure, and change control requirements Establish operational metrics and reporting to monitor documentation maturity, industrialization readiness, supplier execution, technology transfer progress, and continuous improvement impact Drive value engineering and cost transparency initiatives by structuring manufacturing process, equipment, quality, and supplier capability data in a consistent way Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team supporting global external manufacturing operations in a matrixed environment Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience or Master's degree with 10+ years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline Experience in manufacturing engineering, industrialization, technical operations, engineering governance, contract manufacturing, OEM management, or external manufacturing operations Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives or technical teams in a global, matrixed organization Preferred Qualifications Strong experience with Contract Manufacturing, OEM operations, supplier industrialization, and external manufacturing governance Demonstrated ability to establish new operating models, governance frameworks, and scalable documentation or knowledge management systems Experience supporting technology transfers, new product introductions, product transfers, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp-up activities Working knowledge of Make/Buy analysis, Core/Non-Core assessments, supplier capability evaluation, and manufacturing network strategy Experience with PLM, ERP, SharePoint, document management systems, workflow automation, digital manufacturing platforms, or similar systems Strong understanding of manufacturing standards, quality systems, engineering change control, supplier performance management, and operational excellence Lean Six Sigma, PMP, product owner, change management, or operational excellence certification preferred Strong analytical and business acumen with ability to translate manufacturing information into actionable operational decisions Excellent communication, executive presentation, stakeholder influence, and change leadership skills Ability to travel up to 25% to support global contract manufacturing operations Key Competencies Strategic operational leadership with strong execution discipline Contract Manufacturing and OEM governance mindset Documentation governance and industrialization excellence Cross-functional influence across global matrix teams Data-driven decision-making and performance management Continuous improvement and value engineering orientation Talent development, coaching, and organizational capability building Strong ownership, accountability, and customer-focused execution
