Environmental Sustainability Specialist LIVE WHAT YOU WILL DO As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will support AMGEN's global Environmental Sustainability programme by coordinating the collection, validation and management of environmental sustainability data across the organisation and its value chain. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely and compliant environmental reporting while contributing to the continuous improvement of sustainability programmes and processes. In this vital role you will: Coordinate global sustainability data collection – Partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers across multiple countries to collect and validate environmental sustainability data. Support Scope 3 emissions reporting – Coordinate the collection and validation of Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions data, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely delivery. Drive stakeholder engagement – Build strong relationships across Sustainability, Procurement, Information Systems and business functions to support environmental reporting requirements. Improve sustainability processes – Contribute to the continuous improvement of environmental sustainability methodologies, governance practices and data collection processes. Ensure data quality – Review sustainability data, identify inconsistencies and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and improve overall data quality. Support environmental reporting – Help prepare environmental and climate-related reporting activities by ensuring sustainability information is complete, accurate and ready for internal review and external assurance. Contribute to sustainability initiatives – Support the development and implementation of new Environmental Sustainability programme initiatives and continuous improvement activities. Partner across the organisation – Collaborate with global cross-functional teams and represent AMGEN in sustainability-related projects and working groups when appropriate. The professional we seek is collaborative, detail-oriented and passionate about Environmental Sustainability, with the following qualifications: Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Chemical Engineering or another related discipline. Approximately 2 years of experience in Environmental Sustainability or a related field. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams and external suppliers across different countries and cultures. Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously and manage competing priorities. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and experience reviewing and validating environmental sustainability data. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Preferred RequirementsMaster's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability or another related discipline. Experience working with greenhouse gas emissions (particularly Scope 3), ESG reporting, sustainability reporting or environmental compliance. Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams such as Procurement, Sustainability, Operations or Supply Chain. Knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), carbon accounting or environmental reporting frameworks. Good knowledge of Excel; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Python or SQL would be considered an advantage but is not essential. Curiosity, critical thinking and a proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
