Role Overview As a Sr. Enterprise Storage & DevOps Engineer, you will be a technical leader responsible for the full lifecycle of our hybrid cloud storage solutions.What should you have: Architect & Engineer: Design, build, and support resilient and scalable storage infrastructure across both on-premises data centers and our AWS/Azure cloud environments. Innovate & Validate: Independently identify and run proof-of-concepts for emerging technologies. This includes rigorous solution testing to validate performance, security, and reliability before broader adoption. Deliver End-to-End Solutions: Lead technical projects from ideation to implementation. You will translate customer requirements into tangible features, present your proposed solutionsto stakeholders for feedback and buy-in, and manage the successful rollout to our internal customers. Automate & Improve: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance our services through automation, using modern IaC and scripting practices Act as a Strategic Advisor: Serve as a subject matter expert on storage and data management, consulting with other product teams and helping to shape the long-term technical strategy. Collaborate & Secure: Partner with Security, Compliance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure our solutions are secure, compliant, and continuously improving throughout their lifecycle. What will you do in this role: Core Experience & Qualifications: Extensive IT Experience (approx. 6-8 years): A strong background in designing, building, and managing enterprise-scale infrastructure, with a focus on storage, cloud, and data resiliency. Deep Technical Expertise (approx. 4-5 years): Proven hands-on experience in a senior engineering or high-level support role where you were responsible for the stability and performance of critical systems. Architectural Mindset: You can translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and well-documented technical solutions and effectively communicate your designs to both technical and non-technical audiences Agile Practitioner: You are experienced in delivering projects and features in an Scrum environment, thriving on iterative development and collaboration. What should you have: Key Technical Competencies: We are looking for a senior engineer who brings deep expertise in the following domains. While we list specific tools we use, we value transferable skills and a deep understanding of the underlying principles more than a checklist of technologies. 1. Hybrid Cloud Architecture & Engineering: Core Concept: You have hands-on experience in building and managing secure, scalable solutions in a major public cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP). Our Stack: We heavily use AWS. Deep experience with its core services (VPC, IAM, Route53), storage offerings (S3, EFS, FSx), and serverless components is highly desirable. 2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation: Core Concept: You have a strong "everything as code" philosophy and are proficient with modern IaC tools. Our Stack: We require hands-on experience with at least one major IaC tool like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Proficiency with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for automation is essential. 3. DevOps & CI/CD: Core Concept: You have practical experience building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines to deliver infrastructure and applications safely and efficiently. Our Stack: Experience with GitHub Actions is preferred, along with a strong command of Git for version control. 4. Enterprise Storage & Data Management: Core Concept: You understand the principles of enterprise-grade storage (Block, File, Object) and have experience with disaster recovery strategies in a hybrid context. Our Stack: Experience with on-premises platforms (Dell, NetApp) is a significant plus, as is familiarity with observability SRE tools like Prometheus & Grafana. Additional Skills That Will Set You Apart: Experience developing self-service portals or workflows, particularly with ServiceNow. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes.
