As Sub Chapter Lead Software Development Sant Cugat (m/f/d), you will shape the future of our instrument development in the Software environment. You will lead a dedicated team of experts and foster a sustainable culture of innovation. Join our network and actively help us shape groundbreaking diagnostic solutions! ● Driving strategy, culture and ways of working for respective Software Development department in Research and Development ● Directly influence as key enabling player Roche Diagnostics’ capabilities in Software Development in the respective field of analytics/pre-analytics: o Maintaining and further evolving the Sub Chapter’s overarching expertise within the cross-functional network of related functions (e.g. LCT), based on current and upcoming needs to deliver on network priorities (e.g. upcoming portfolio investments with new technology skills needed) o Developing the capabilities of experts specialized in Software Development in the respective field, including their skills in translation of patient and customer needs into the product design and development, implementation of IVD requirements, driving product care solutions and supporting the overall life cycle of commercialized products. ● Software development capabilities typically comprise: o Requirements specification and review at the instrument and unit level o Delivery of software architecture and development activities at the instrument and unit level o Design, specification, development, test and transfer to operations of all software components o Third level support for customer inquiries ● Providing effective and inspirational leadership for the department, by coaching and actively liasing within the network ● Supporting the implementation of R&D’s short-term- to mid-term strategy for products and solutions in respective field of analytics/pre-analytics: o Enabling a network of experts to directly proactively influence and maintain the quality and sustainability of the product design for the respective portfolio Who you are: You bring either a completed Master's technical or scientific degree with 7–10 years of experience, a Bachelor's degree with 8–10 years of experience in the medical device industry or equivalent, or a vocational qualification with advanced training (e.g., state-certified technician or equivalent) and 10 years of relevant professional experience in the medical device industry or equivalent. You possess deep specialized knowledge and a solid background in software engineering. You have a proven track record of independently leading, motivating, and developing larger teams of specialists and managers. You strategically develop the organization and empower employees to drive their own professional growth. You are highly proficient in agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Sprints, regular retrospectives/reflections) and stand out due to your systemic mindset.
