Join our collaborative team as a Senior Staff PPI Business System Specialist and contribute to positive change across Thermo Fisher Scientific. You'll support our Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Business System, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement that directly impacts our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. In this key role, you'll guide implementation of lean methodologies, develop and execute improvement initiatives, and partner with cross-functional teams to achieve measurable business results. Working with leadership teams across divisions, you'll support productivity initiatives, conduct PPI/LEAN training, and implement sustainable improvements that enhance customer service, financial performance, and quality standards. You'll utilize data-driven approaches to track KPIs, develop corrective action plans, and facilitate organizational development through lean management systems including daily management routines, Gemba walks, and various PPI/LEAN tools. Education/Experience: • Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience managing continuous improvement programs across multi-site operations • Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering, Business, Operations, Computer Science, or related field • Six Sigma Black Belt certification required • Project Management certification preferred • Demonstrated expertise in lean methodologies, including Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and process optimization Knowledge, Skills Abilities: • Strong proficiency in developing and implementing tiered daily management systems and lean tools • Advanced knowledge of KPI development, tracking, and performance management • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment • Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI, Excel) • Strong financial acumen and understanding of P&L impact • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills • Demonstrated organizational development and leadership capabilities • Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs • Experience with Learning Management Systems and digital learning solutions • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Power Platform tools • Travel may be required up to 25% • Experience in non-manufacturing environment preferred Compensation and Benefits The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $141,800.00–$212,675.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
