JOB SUMMARY The Associate Director, Data & Analytics Lead, is a senior regional leadership role responsible for defining and driving the data, analytics, business intelligence, and AI agenda across the APACMEA region, with China as a major strategic focus market. This role will act as the strategic bridge between business leadership, BTS, regional/global data teams, vendors, and functional stakeholders to turn enterprise data and AI capabilities into measurable business value, scalable products, and trusted insights. In addition to strong technical depth across data analytics, AI/ML, GenAI, BI, data platforms, governance, and lifecycle management, the role requires a strong people leader and strategic thinker who can shape the APACMEA data and AI roadmap, translate regional priorities into market-relevant execution, lead cross-functional delivery, supervise and develop team members, supports commercial growth, operational excellence, and innovation. Major Responsibilities Set APACMEA data and AI strategy: Define and continuously evolve the APACMEA data, analytics, BI, and AI roadmap, ensuring alignment with regional business priorities, and global BTS technology strategy. Drive AI and GenAI adoption responsibly: Lead the identification, evaluation, prototyping, scaling, and governance of AI/ML and GenAI use cases, ensuring business relevance, measurable ROI, responsible AI practices, and compliance with enterprise standards. Own BI and analytics transformation: Advance reporting modernization, KPI standardization, self-service analytics, dashboard adoption, and insight generation to enable faster and more trusted business decision-making through close working with related business stakeholders like IMCO, Business Excellence, AMI…etc Build data foundations compliance with global governance and local regulatory requirement: Strengthen data architecture, master data management, data quality, and lifecycle management to support scalable analytics, AI outcomes in line with company policies and applicable regional and local regulatory requirements, including China-specific considerations such as PIPL, CSL, DSL, cybersecurity, privacy, and data localization. Lead people and capability development: Supervise, coach, and develop team members; build clear priorities, capability plans, and succession readiness for the APACMEA data function, while strengthening China-focused execution capability. Champion data-driven culture: Promote data literacy, AI literacy, adoption of modern analytics tools, and AI/data-driven culture in company. Supervisory Responsibility Reports to China BTS Lead with dotted-line alignment to the International Data & Analytics lead. The role is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy and provide leadership across APACMEA markets, China business, BTS, regional, global, and vendor teams. Supervises at least one FTE and may lead cross-functional project teams, matrix resources, vendors, and data/AI communities of practice across APACMEA, with strong hands-on focus on China-related priorities. Accountable for team performance, capability development, coaching, prioritization, and delivery quality. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field; master’s degree or MBA preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, BI, digital technology, product management, or AI-related roles, with at least 3 years in leadership, people management, or large-scale matrix leadership. Proven track record of defining and delivering enterprise data, BI, analytics, AI/ML, or GenAI initiatives that generate measurable business outcomes. Experience working across APACMEA or other multi-market regional environments preferred, with strong understanding of China market context, local data compliance, business dynamics, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory considerations. Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical aesthetics, consumer health, retail, financial services, or other data-intensive regulated industries preferred. Professional certifications in data governance, cloud, analytics, AI, agile/product management, privacy, or project/program management are advantageous. Knowledge and Skills Leadership and strategic thinking: Ability to set vision, shape strategy, influence senior stakeholders, make trade-off decisions, and lead teams through ambiguity and transformation. Business acumen: Strong understanding of commercial priorities, customer engagement, sales/marketing analytics, operational performance, and how data and AI create measurable business value. Data and analytics expertise: Deep knowledge of data modeling, data engineering concepts, analytics design, KPI frameworks, self-service BI, visualization, advanced analytics, and data product lifecycle management. AI and GenAI fluency: Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, GenAI use cases, model evaluation, prompt-enabled solutions, responsible AI, MLOps/AI operations, automation, and human-in-the-loop adoption patterns. Technology platforms: Familiarity with modern data platforms, cloud data services, BI tools, CRM/commercial data ecosystems, APIs, data integration patterns, and analytics enablement technologies. Language: Fluent English required for regional and global collaboration; Mandarin Chinese highly preferred given the role’s strong China focus and stakeholder engagement needs.
