DESCRIPTION: Lead a sales team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, supporting revenue growth and market expansion through strategic sales initiatives and customer relationships. As a Sales Manager, you'll develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies, support team development, and contribute to our mission to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. Work collaboratively across divisions to deliver solutions while maintaining strong customer partnerships and achieving growth targets. The Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth and expanding Thermo Fisher Scientific's presence across Costa Rica for the Customer Channel Group (CCG). This role leads the commercial strategy, develops strong customer relationships, and executes sales initiatives to achieve business objectives while promoting the company's Mission and values. The Sales Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Customer Care, Technical Support, Finance, Supply Chain, and regional commercial leadership, to deliver an exceptional customer experience and sustainable business growth. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the commercial strategy to achieve and exceed annual sales, revenue, and profitability targets. Manage the complete sales cycle, including opportunity identification, pipeline development, forecasting, negotiation, and deal closure. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, research institutions, universities, healthcare organizations, and industrial accounts throughout Costa Rica. Identify new business opportunities and market trends to expand Thermo Fisher Scientific's customer base and market share. Ensure accurate pipeline management and forecasting using Salesforce CRM and other business tools. Drive strategic account planning and customer engagement activities to maximize long-term business opportunities. Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Customer Service, and Technical Support to develop customer-focused solutions. Monitor sales performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when necessary. Develop and execute territory business plans aligned with regional and global commercial objectives. Maintain a high level of product knowledge across the Customer Channel Group portfolio. Ensure compliance with Thermo Fisher Scientific policies, quality standards, ethics, and applicable regulatory requirements. Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at customer meetings, industry events, seminars, and scientific conferences. Provide regular business updates, market intelligence, competitive analysis, and sales reports to regional leadership. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced business degree is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in Life Sciences, Laboratory Products, Diagnostics, Medical Devices, or related industries. Previous experience managing key accounts and developing strategic customer relationships. Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce. Strong financial and business acumen. Excellent negotiation and presentation skills. Fluent in Spanish and English.
