Learn more: trendaisecurity.com Solutions Engineer - South POSITION OVERVIEW As a Pre-Sales Engineer for the Trend AI Volume & SMB team, you will be the primary technical advisor to prospects and partners throughout the sales cycle. You will translate customer security requirements into tailored Trend Micro solutions, deliver compelling product demonstrations and proofs of concept, and act as the technical bridge between sales, channel partners, and product teams to accelerate deal velocity across a high-volume SMB pipeline. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Partner with account executives and channel partners to support the technical sales cycle for SMB and volume accounts, from discovery through close. Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proofs of concept (PoCs) showcasing Trend AI and the broader Trend Micro security portfolio. Conduct customer needs assessments and map security requirements to the right Trend Micro solution architecture and licensing model. Respond to RFPs/RFIs and prepare technical proposals, solution architectures, and sizing documents. Manage a high-volume, fast-paced pipeline of SMB opportunities, prioritizing effectively across multiple concurrent deals. Enable and train channel partners and resellers on Trend Micro solutions to improve their ability to sell and support independently. Serve as the voice of the customer to product and marketing teams, relaying feedback on product gaps, competitive positioning, and market trends. Stay current on the evolving cybersecurity threat landscape, competitive products, and Trend Micro's AI-driven product roadmap. Support post-sales handoff to ensure smooth onboarding and technical continuity for new customers. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 5–6 years of overall experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2–3 years in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or technical consulting role. Solid working knowledge of core security domains: endpoint security, network security, cloud security, email security, or XDR/SIEM. Hands-on experience delivering product demos, PoCs, and technical presentations to technical and business stakeholders. Strong understanding of SMB and volume/channel sales motions, including working with resellers, distributors, and MSPs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Willingness to travel within the Bangalore region for customer and partner meetings as needed. Secondry responsiblity Prior experience with Trend Micro, or competing vendors (e.g., CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Sophos, Microsoft Defender). Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or vendor-specific technical certifications. Familiarity with AI/ML-driven security tooling and how AI is applied to threat detection and response. Experience working in a channel-led or partner-driven sales environment. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid IT environments common among SMB customers.
