Advanced Chemical Engineer

Job description

This role focuses on designing and optimizing natural gas liquefaction (LNG) processes and proprietary LNG equipment. Key responsibilities include performing advanced process simulations, conducting thermal design of coil wound heat exchangers, and analyzing relief and depressurization scenarios to ensure safe and efficient operation. The position also supports plant startups, performance testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The engineer collaborates with multidisciplinary teams across commercial, project management, mechanical design, manufacturing, machinery, R&D, and startup functions to execute projects successfully and enhance products and processes. Additional responsibilities include participating in P&ID reviews and HAZOP studies to ensure safety, operability, and design integrity. The role requires approximately 10–15% domestic and international travel to client offices, contractor locations, and plant sites.
